You're not saying anything.
He said: ""Cathy's opinion hasn't changed and he's walking back nothing.
The chain always served gays and hired gays, he still believes that marriage should be between one man and one woman. All he is doing is separating corporate policy from his personal beliefs. ""

Looks to me like he said a whole lot. Sounds like a good idea to separate corporate policy from ones personal beliefs.

If you call that garbage "food", you have serious issues. It's greasy and nasty. My wife and I ate there. ONCE. Never again. REALLY poor service, the place was filthy, and the stuff we bought was cold, greasy, tasteless, and nasty. They REFUSED to comp us for it, and offered us a small order of "fries" in response.

We said no. We like our stomachs to have REAL food, and cfa doesn't qualify. At all.

As I laid out, both Cathy and the chain have publicly backtracked.

But as I also explained, not substantively enough in terms of amends or lgbt $ support to be forgiven, as we have seen over the years with Coors.

Of course you endorse the most ill, defaming, anti rational homophobe on topix. We expect that from you.

The only question is how many reg'd and other monikers you use habitually.

I only do that because of how many unreasonable gays harass me because I believe in freedom and liberty. Instead of discussing it rationally like normal human beings I was called a homophobe because I state that the Constitution does not authorize congress to pass anti-discrimination laws. And I am right about that. People do not understand what I am saying and they attack me and call me names instead of asking me to explain it. Some ask but then refuse to consider then answer. Someone told them the laws are constitutional and no evidence is going to change their mind. So I no longer care if gays are attacked and insulted, you do it yourself and I am sick of it. So if I agree with someone who hates you then I no longer care.

Let the petty bickering continue.

You just described yourself, except you left out lots of other negatives about yourself. You have more monikers than R1.[/QUOTE]

See "Religionists R Us", you accuse me of using more monkiers while I have NEVER used anything but Reverend Alan. Here you are accused of having more monikers and it is true, I have seen you post under several. So this post above is not outrageous at all. It is a simple statement of fact. You dished it out and now you can't take it.

Stop dishing it out and maybe people won't hate gay people so much. You do know that how you behave here causes a lot of the negative comments, right?

It's a matter of intellectual dishonesty and your other maladies.

Now, as with Foxy, those you approve here are the most vile homophobes.

And your equating of OkCupid with Chick fil A is typically and disturbingly disingenuous.

There's your other deeply sick mantra that some gay person's behavior preceded and caused the vile homophobia here.

You are truly disgusting and unmoored.

So guess what? Unless they start actively supporting pro-gay causes, with both corporate and private funds, they're just the same old bigots that realized that it's bad business to openly hate on people.
It's amusing that anyone who believes a marriage is between one man and one woman is accused of openly hating gay people. It's as if it's wrong to tell the truth, to say how you feel.
Mr. Cathy's opinion wasn't bad for business and it is still his opinion.

Anyone that supports 'pro-gay causes' is a marriage hater and openly hates on straight people. One stupid statement deserves another.

Saying that "marriage is only between one man and one woman" is factually wrong, a denial of reality, and demeaning to gay and lesbian people.

It would be equally wrong to say that "marriage is only between people of the same race" or that "marriage is only between Christians".

You know, people get offended all the time. If a white person cuts you off in traffic or takes the parking spot you were waiting for do you hate all white people and everything about them? Just white people with cars? If an Asian guy calls you afag do you hate all Asians and everything about them? To many Christians, marriage is a sacrament and it's unavailable to same sex couples.

But, saying that "marriage is only between one man and one woman" is FACTUALLY WRONG, and a DENIAL OF REALITY.

If an extremist of any religion kept proclaiming that "REAL MARRIAGE" was ONLY between members of his particular religion, would that not also be an obvious denial of reality ? And offensive to many people of other religious beliefs ???

In our pluralistic society, aren't we taught to be civil and respectful of other Americans' different backgrounds and beliefs ?

Or should we have the Irish-Americans constantly fighting with the Italian-Americans who are constantly fighting with the Hungarian-Americans who are constantly fighting with the Baptists, who are constantly fighting with the Episcopals who are constantly fighting with the Lutherans who are constantly fight with the Methodists who are constantly fighting with the Jews who are constantly fighting with the Muslims whoa re constantly fighting with the Buddhists who are constantly fighting wit the Hindus ?

Is this the pluralistic melting-pot America we want and are taught to strive for ???

Or do we respectfully disagree with one another while embracing and supporting each other's rights to live our lives as we see fit ?
