Hi Elise

Did you catch another demure younglady who has recently been interviewed on Nancy Grace or maybe, it was that charltan Dr Drew.
I beleive her name was Laura Mauro, a young doe eyed brunnette, who Travis had befriended LOL, and was haveing her run errands for him...helping this struggling college student with pocket change...she was also assigned the duties of picking up his Dog's poop in the house...she mentioned that she would be in his master bedroom for hours and the roomates had no idea she was there. Of course she spoke highly of him

What this with Nancy Grace and others, conti8uing to preface that Travis had a five bedroom house...lol....in Mesa, one can buy one for 100K...lol again

Travis was into the grooming phase with the above one. This younglady was a sweet girl, non Jody sophisticted. Mesa, although adjoining Phoenix, is a different world with a hybrid weird provinical mentality. A large Mormon enclave, part of the mix. Phoenix, although now the fifth largest City in the USA, is still for the most part a hick town.

Hell, I never groomed anyone, just met women in the normal course of life. Travis was a predator.

Missed Nancy the past few nights. I think ill wait until the good stuff comes back after the break. I've been wondering about Mesa. If I've ever been there I don't remember? Was in Scottsdale last year doing some shopping and stayed in Phoenix which, youre right, it is very hick! But the residents don't seem to know that. I remember going to what I was told was a "nice" Japanese restaurant and being annoyed throughout my meal because my waiter appeared to be a meth addict! Many typos here also! I try to rely on my autocorrect as much as possible.

There's really no way to justify the stabbing/shooting death of anyone. I'm sure lots of us could be painted in a bad light when we can no longer defend ourselves.
Her case was destroyed when she first knew nothing and hadn't seen him in months, followed by the intruders ran in on us story, and finally the desparate self defense claim.
There is nothing lovely, quiet, diminutive nor fragile about this woman that can brutally kill and then lie.
but isn't it human nature to run away from possession of a crime. Most criminals seem to deny, deny, deny

Good point, I posted to this run and deny factor early on.
So the media and prosecution can continue playing those loops, hopefully the jury is just yawning at them at this point, since they have already figured out the run and deny phenomena.

The interrogation tapes, show Jody in a fragile almost childlike state. Travis scrambled her brains. Was this the Perfect Storm, with tragedy once again played out on the stage of life.

When I attended a few of those BDSM parties (Threshold in LA), I recognized early on that the Sub could turn violent on the Dom at any time and it would come down to self defense. Of course these parties are hard core deviants for the most part, most of them twisted and unstable mentally. On the other hand, BDSM erotic play between a willing couple can be so damn hot, but still fraught with unknown consequences.

I could have handled Jody, and nothing bad would have happen. I'm surprised she did not get involved with a mature urbane guy.

Just in:

The judge denied the defense's request for a judgment of acquittal on the felony murder charge. The judge also denied he defense's second request for a mistrial.

No surprise here.

Why wasn't the roommate who found Travis' body called to testify by the prosecution?

What about Travis' dog? Did "Napoleon" went without food or water for five days?

True, no surprise, but the judge should have dumped Felony murder.
Would have been a bad move for her re-electiion prospects in this Mormon enclave of Mesa.

Defense also making record for appeal if Jody does not walk. Hell, this case is ripe for appeal on the judge allowing irrelevant and inflamatory testimony of several wits called by the State, particularly one of Jody's male admireres.

Are you referring to Ryan Burns? His testimony is not an issue for appeal. She made a detour en route to his house to go see Travis. The prosecution put him on the stand to address Jodi's demeanor after she had already killed Alexander, but missed the opportunity to make the implication that Jodi intended to use him as an alibi, instead, Martinez got entangled with the gaudy details of Jodi trying to seduce him. I guess he had to stick to the script that shows Jodi as a slut.

Cumulative, liar/slut established and stipulated, judical notice taken LOL LOL..no not refering to Ryan..yes, Martinez missed to focus in on the alibi building gambit, the entire reason of her trip. Martinez is flat footed.

Has she been Ovecharged?

I'm predicting a Hung Jury.

Jody had a fetish for Mormon young men. She wanted to be a good girl, now did'nt she. She
avoided settling into LA, SF, LV, which would have been the logical geographical move for a young smoldering Latina leaving rural N Cal.

Disturbing news for me.

Nancy Grace just now reporting that Jody was under surveillance in N Cal just before she was arrested. She was packing up her stuff in boxes and getting ready to take off. A loaded 9mm handgun in her car. I was surprised to hear this. I still feel that Jody is factualy innocent of first or second degree murder. Nancy also reporting that Dep DA Martinez overly narrowed his case, played it way to conservative.

So one of your hobbies is shopping, nothing wrong with that. I can just picture you at Fashion Island, in NB.

Mimi testified early on that when she first went to the house she saw the dog jumping erratically at the window like he wanted her to let him out. He may have gone without food and water. Maybe he had a water bowl that lasted him for a few days and that's how he survived.

It is a hobby but not as much as it used to be. As I grow, I realize the importance of other things in life. I have moved on to things that make me feel more content with my inner self like animal rescue, volunteering, helping those in need. I find it makes me a much happier person to do things for others than doing for myself :)

As for Jodi, I heard today for the first time that she bought a 9mm. What's that all about? Lots of questions there. Why would she use the stolen gun if she bought one? And do the police have the 9mm she bought? Unless she bought one for the simple fact of being able to say "Look, my gun hasn't been fired and it's a different caliber." The whole thing seems very strange......

The question is, when did she buy the 9mm gun, before or after Travis' murder?

If she bought it after the murder, why did she need a gun for?

During the interrogation Flores asked Jodi several times if someone else was with her in he house when Travis was killed, that's when she come up with the story about the two intruders. The story seems to be a total fabrication, but they say there is some truth to every lie. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that she acted alone. I might be mistaken.

I just found out the police determined that Jodi bought the 9mm handgun after Travis was killed.
