LG, clarifying: she was like a drug, not using drugs.

I agree with that. Still there is no proof of physical abuse. Only JA's workd for it. She drove a 1000 miles to get to him.
Agree it confounds people.
Lets see if Matt McCartney actually takes the stand because he is supposed to have seen the bruising.
My impression of Jodi is she is a compliant and submissive personality. I saw the uncensored images of Travis and he was large. I bet that anal must have hurt. Still she continued. Her testimony rings true. I have seen girls do stuff just to keep the guy. "If you loved me you would do this"
There is an expression "treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen" and I have seen the biggest jerks reel in great girls. Sad really.

I actually believe the pedophile claim.
1. Travis was in the meth house with parents who cared more about drugs than food for their kids. I can imagine they might give their kids for drugs as we have seen in other stories on the net
2. Travis has twisted Jodi's image to others. There is no way she would be able to fit through the doggy door. She came in through the sliding door. The Doggy door was an insert that you buy through petsmart to fit into sliding door. The pug was small thus a small doggy dooor with low lip so the dog wouldn't trip. Travis was all about lying.
3. Travis asked to borrow money from Hughes, who refused. He did borrow money from Jodi and it meant she got stuck with bank charges. How come he needed to borrow money if he was such a big success? And more telling why wouldn't his good friend the Hughes loan him the money?
4. Travis brothers had not seen him in 4 years. So just how close was this family and did they know him?
5. In spite of this wonderful Mormon childhood thanks to grandma we know that at least one brother was an addict and a liar and a thief.
6. Travis wrote in his blog that he overcame this horrible childhood where they didn't get enough to eat and hardly washed. How come child services didn't get involved sooner? How come teachers didn't comment when they went to school? Travis also wrote that his mother would beat him if he woke her from her drug haze...do you go in a haze when you take meth? So did Travis always tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
Not sure about the dog door. I had 2 pugs who used a medium dog door and my friend's mastiff worked it's shoulders through and got out of it when it was determined to get outside.

Meth doesn't cause a haze while using, but when they finally crash they're out.

Actually, with 6 kids in a family, only one using drugs is somewhat of a miracle these days. Very few families aren't touched by drugs now.

I think pedophilia is a stretch, and a convenient one for Jodi. We can't forget that none of this was a problem until he wanted her to go away. If, according to her, she witnessed the pedophiliac behavior and then traveled to have sex with him "to help him get over it", she needs to be locked up for mental illness.

It's really stupid that she was messing with Mormon guys in the first place.
I remember I almost threw up with Det. Flores told Jodi that she was a great girl and he
wondered why Travis said she was not marriage material. I felt like he was playing with her because he knew she like male attention. She was folding her legs up and showing her crotch area even in the interrogation room.

There apparently was a pic that I am grateful I didn't see. It was a rear view of her. They said she looked CAVERNOUS or like the GRAND CANYON. I don't know which part they were referring to.
I would guess she has probably been engaged in all kinds of sex since she was very young.

She moved in with Bobby Juarez when she was 16 or 17.

My guess would be she was molested at some age and she realized sex was a powerful she could use.
One of her friends said she had lousy taste in boys/men.

Before Darryl Brewer, she didn't have her breast implants, but after breast implants and with the blond hair and makeup, she was able to attract Travis. She's the kind of girl guys play around with but not the type someone would marry.

Don't you find it odd that in all her years she never got ONE marriage proposal? I've had at least four I could think of off the top of my head. Also, two to move in and see if it leads to anything which got a no.

If you stay with guys long enough, you will see the side of them you don't want to see. Even guys who seemed great on the surface might make an off-handed statement about women WANTING to be raped or might continue on the route to sex when you told them you weren't interested. I can see that sometimes it might be easier to get it over with, hoping they will leave and you just don't ever invite them back.

JA was on a mission of self improvement and a thinker. She was reaching her stride in Palm Desert and then in Mesa. Her PPL leader in Palm Desert, the Mormon Chiropractor, thought so much of her he approached TA at the Vegas Convention, sith the pitch that "you have to meet this girl" and TA immediately pursued her.

You think she was the type of girl guys only wanted to play around with (Wrong). All of her other Mormon male PPL fans, wanted her as their girl. JA had pull, depth (a thinker), beyond her demure smoldering look and afffect. Det Flore was ironicaly speaking the truth, regardless of his interrogatioin technique.

Interesting, JA was not promiscuous, particualarly in today's standards. Doubt if any of her photos were as you described them.

JA drew a bad hand in following these Mormon guys, although neither side entered with malice. She did have a "bright future"

HLN goes all in on Jodi Arias trial

""The longer she stayed on the stand, the more she had to say and the more they had to ask," said Scot Safon, who runs HLN from Atlanta. "The jury asked more than 100 questions!" (Arizona is one of only a handful of states which allows juries to query those on the stand directly.)"

"Safon notes that the Arias story is essentially a local crime story with no broad impact on society, which is perhaps why few other national media outlets aren't paying much attention. To a degree, this leaves the field open for HLN (and to a shrinking degree, fellow Turner station TruTV, which recently reduced its daily Court TV vestige "In Session" from six to two hours).

"It was a crime of passion," Safon said. "My staff said she was an interesting character. There was also a huge amount of documentation along with the story. They had documented aspects of their relationship very thoroughly. There was a lot of evidence that would bring the story to life. And in Arizona, they allow cameras in the courtroom." (Most states do so now.)

In this case, Safon noted, "it's not a case of who did what. It's motivations and what provoked it. That's at the core of this."

"It's a story people find irresistible," Safon said. "I am really encouraged by just how strong the audience delivery has been on this."

He said his new boss Jeff Zucker, who took over CNN operations (which include HLN) in January, has been mentoring them. "Keep the audience engaged," Zucker told Safon. "Make them happy they came to HLN. You're really servicing them well with a story they love." To Safon, "that's been an easy mandate to follow. We're all at heart very enthusiastic about the stories we cover. It's great to get that kind of encouragement.'Go for it. Don't be afraid of surprising me.' "

LG, ugggg a bright future? She was on a path to nowhere, as evidenced by her own choices. Brewer told her up front he wasn't looking for marriage, and he had a son that she bonded with knowing that. Not good for kids, to deliberately choose to be temporary in their life.
Then as was inevitable, she saw Brewer ready to move on, so she attached herself to TA, before she even took time to find out if he was serious about her for long term. Then she was impatient with the process of establishing herself back in Yreka, so she went on a road trip??? Who does that? I mean if you're work/career is just taking off, do you hit the road for adventure?
I think her good looks carried her as far as she was going to go, and the rest was happenstance.

All posters should take note of the above.

Execs at CNN recognized it as a crime of Passion,
but nonetheless threw it to their propaganda wing (HLN).

Read George Orwell, or just go to his Brainy Quotes

Twists and turns in the road of life, mirred by emotional events.
She had five stable years with Brewer, but she had to move on, since he did not want to commit nor want more kids. JA was still young and faced the reality of this aspect.
