How ignorant of theses people to believe someone who is not able to have sex, goes against the bible, worships a statue, and against birth control. I am sure there are plenty of fireplaces and ashtrays to place ashes on one's head.

There has to be a Creator Who is outside of time and space (universe), because the universe and time had a beginning/were created...God is that Creator! The universe and all in it didn't come from nothing! A person who believes life came from nothing is truly ignorant!

So, please tell me how all this works with this higher being since I'm so ignorant. I expect you to answer this or will you just say that I should just believe, like in the easter bunny and Santa Clause, Angels, and Hell?
The bible is being proven false every year by new science discoveries, I believe in the Science GOD.
Reserch how religion was created, and you will be enlightened, don't be afraid of the truth, you will not go to Hell for non-believing.
Believe me, I was brain washed like you when I was young into believing all those bible stories.

You actually believe that all in the universe came from nothing? So you believe that life has no meaning or purpose? No one has all the answers, but at least keep an open mind.

I don't understand this new wave of militant atheists.

What ever happened to just respecting the fact that some people believe? I knew plenty of atheists and believers as a kid and they all kind of left each other alone.

It seems like "modern atheists" are constantly on patrol, looking for something to be upset about.

Don't care what you believe in, but keep it to yourselves.
Yes, I was angry when the other kids made fun of me for believing in Santa Clause, and yes I was angry at my parents and others for telling me all these wonderful stories about heaven and all the bad things that would happen to me in hell.
I remember when I was around 5 years old they took all us kids into a room with another preacher that was visiting and then they told us if we answer questions the right way we will get Mr. Goodbars, and of course we wanted the chocolate candy bar. Soon after we did everything right, they said if we all believe in Jesus and get baptized this next Sunday we will get some chocolate to take home with us. So, of course all the little girls and boys got baptized that Sunday.
The history channel has some good shows that tell you how the whole religion thing got started. And now I save my 10% and put it in the bank.

Maybe because we all know that if you didn't believe in God, this whole topic wouldn't be bothering you so very much! lol A true non-believer wouldn't even bother to read a thread concerning religion.
Maybe you were hurt by religion, but God is still there and you know that in your heart of hearts...we all do! God Bless you!
