If you think I don't know about fracking, nuclear waste, factories,(like the tanneries that produce the dead animal skins YOU buy, wear, use), then you are dumber than I thought. The FACT is that LIVESTOCK/animal agriculture is causing more greenhouse gases than autos, air pollution and waterway COMBINED.
Eating meat is wasteful, it is devastating the planet AND human health, and above all, IT IS UNNECESSARY and every VEGAN is living proof of that. You pathetic corpse eaters refuse to grasp the TRUTH because your sole interest is to live in oblivion and DENIAL while you chow down on greasy corpse burgers and sit on your flabby rears whining and bitching about things and people you know NOTHING about. The only meat that is bad for human health is red meat. It has been proven to cause several cancers, heart disease and increase your risk of having a stroke and a heart attack.

White meat, on the other hand, is one of the most healthiest things humans can eat and the health benefits associated with it is endless.

WRONG. ALL corpses increase the risk for serious diseases. ALL corpses come from the unconscionable violence, pain, suffering and murders of animals who fight for their lives. ALL corpses that YOU consume were beings who had individual personalities and a strong will to LIVE, but apathetic, ignorant slobs like you literally PAY for animals to suffer and die just to feed your ignorant face.

You also know NOTHING about the numerous diseases caused by CHICKEN:

Chickens can be a source of a number of bacterial and viral-related diseases and infections due to the various pathogenic organisms they carry.

Salmonellosis
Salmonella poisoning, or salmonellosis, is probably the most common bacterial affliction that humans can attribute to chickens. The infection is passed by eating chicken meat or eggs that have been contaminated with this bacterium. Salmonellosis is characterized by high fever, abdominal cramping and diarrhea, and it is especially dangerous when it affects young children, the elderly or people with compromised immune systems.

Avian Flu
This flu virus has gained particular notoriety in recent years due to fears it has the potential to lead to a global pandemic, according to experts with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Chickens and other fowl are known to be carriers of this virus, showing no symptoms of illness while infected with the viral strain. The avian flu virus can be transported via the air as well as in chicken feces. Symptoms of this illness in people include high fever, coughing, aching muscles, and both vomiting and diarrhea.

E. Coli Infection
Though the E. coli bacteria is more often associated with the consumption of beef products, escherichia coli infections can result from eating contaminated chicken as well. E. coli is commonly found in the intestines of humans and other mammals, but particular strains of the microorganism can cause serious illness or even death in some cases. Symptoms of infection include severe abdominal cramping, vomiting and bloody diarrhea.

Campylobacteriosis
Campylobacter is another pathogenic bacterium that can be transferred to humans by eating infected chicken meat. This microorganism is one of the most common sources of food-related poisoning in people. High temperatures are very effective in killing Campylobacter, so proper cooking methods are important to follow when preparing chicken dishes. Like other chicken-related infections, this bacterium can cause abdominal pain and diarrhea. It also can lead to Guillain-Barre syndrome, a disease that could result in paralysis. Concerns related to Campylobacter have arisen in the health community due to the identification of increased levels of antibiotic-resistant strains of the organism. According to by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), data from industrialized countries have demonstrated that a significant source of antibiotic-resistant food borne infections in humans is the acquisition of the resistant bacteria from animals via food.

Staphylococcus Aureus Infection

Chicken-related Staph infections are usually attributed to the microorganism Staphylococcus aureus. The organism can be passed to people via ingestion of contaminated meat, and can also be transferred as a result of physical contact with live birds. Toxins released by this bacterium can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and severe muscular pain. Similar to Campylobacter, this bacterium has grabbed the attention of health officials due to virulent strains that are resistant to antibiotic drugs, particularly Methicillin-resistant Staph aureus--commonly identified as MRSA--which has become a rising issue in hospital environments, according to the CDC.

Correction. Red meat is not bad for humans.....fatty red meat is. Lean red meat is a good source of protein and other important nutrients. Factory farmed red meat is very fatty. Wild game is lean and healthy. That's why hunting for your red meat is the healthiest way to go about it.

Chicken

Chicken is a very good source of lean, high quality protein. Protein is an essential nutrient for growth and development and also plays an important role in assisting overweight and obese people in losing weight fast.

In older people, the proteins present in chicken also help against bone loss. Even 100 gm of chicken breast accounts for more than half of the recommended dietary intake of protein.

Chicken is a rich source of niacin, a B-vitamin that protects the body against cancer. A deficiency of niacin can be directly associated with genetic (DNA) damage. Around 72% of the daily niacin requirement of the body can be fulfilled by a four-ounce serving of chicken.

The trace mineral selenium is found in good quantities in chicken. It is an essential component required by many major metabolic pathways, which includes thyroid hormone metabolism, anti-oxidant defense systems, and immune function of the body.

Vitamin B6, present in chicken, plays a crucial role as a methyl donor in the basic cellular process of transferring methyl groups from one molecule to another, leading to the formation of a wide range of important active molecules. This process is known as Methylation. The availability of methyl groups is lessened due to the inadequacy of B6, which can result in damage to the blood vessels.

Vitamin B6, along with niacin, makes chicken a favorable food in supporting the energy metabolism of the body. Both these B-complex vitamins help the enzymes throughout the body to guide the metabolic reactions.

Chicken meat is a good source of phosphorus, which is a very essential mineral for the body. Phosphorus maintains the health of teeth and bones, and also ensures healthy functioning of the kidneys, liver and the central nervous system.

Fish

Fish is a high-protein, low-fat food that provides a range of health benefits. White-fleshed fish, in particular, is lower in fat than any other source of animal protein, and oily fish are high in omega-3 fatty acids, or the “good” fats. Since the human body can’t make significant amounts of these essential nutrients, fish are an important part of the diet. Also, fish are low in the “bad” fats commonly found in red meat, called omega-6 fatty acids.

A growing body of evidence indicates that omega-3 fatty acids provide a number of health benefits. They:

*help maintain cardiovascular health by playing a role in the regulation of blood clotting and vessel constriction;

*are important for prenatal and postnatal neurological development;

*may reduce tissue inflammation and alleviate the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis;

*may play a beneficial role in cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), reducing depression and halting mental decline in older people.

Turkey

There are about 32g of protein in a 4-oz. serving of turkey, making it a very good source of these essential amino acids. Just one serving of turkey provides 65 percent of your recommended daily intake of protein. Eat a turkey sandwich for lunch and you'll almost have your daily protein covered. Its protein content makes turkey a healthy meat choice.

A little-known health benefit of turkey is that it contains trace minerals thought to aid in cancer prevention. Turkey contains selenium, which is essential for the healthy function of the thyroid and immune system. Selenium also has an essential role to play in your antioxidant defense system, helping to eliminate cancer-friendly free radicals in the body.

Turkey is considered a good source of vitamins B3 and B6, rated because of the density of these vitamins in the meat. A serving of turkey meat has 36 percent of the daily allowance of B3 and 27 percent of your recommended intake of B6.
