Thanks - we appreciate any help we can get to improve the Downtown area. The success of this last summer with the Market tells us that the people really are not ready to throw the Downtown area out but need some leadership to work together to promote businesses to move to the area - need to talk to the property owners of vacant buildings to see if arrangements could be made to provide some realistic leasing arrangements or buy out arrangements of the properties before they fall into disrepair. Hopefully a new Village Board with new ideas and plans would help benefit the area. The Downtown Merchant's Ass'n. will be meeting shortly after the New Year to promote the Market for the 2013 year and also to start new projects for this area of the Village to promote bringing the residents of the Village to the area. We have three new businesses locating on Front Street within this month and we certainly welcome them and wish them well. Stop by and visit them all and welcome them to the Village. We will have more information as soon as it is readily available. Thanks and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Mokena Downtown Merchant's Ass'n.
