1 The government of Lebanon would be able to work things out if Hezbollah and Syria would stay out of their business. |

Let's hope the IDF has learned a lesson from the summertime fiasco in 2006 versus the Hezzes.

1 What is so bad is the number of Christians, who for one reason or another, usually, coercion, have joined their ranks. In the Christian communities this has had the same effect as the Civil War here had, pitting brother against brother, cousin against cousin. The Christians need to stand together united, not separate, not with these foreign factions who wish to tear Lebanon apart. This is the birth place of Christianity, the birth place of Western culture, why then should we not protect Lebanon? We must get involved because if Lebanon falls into their hands, it is the start of the demise if Western Civilization. |

1 Walking away didn't help Lebanon. Not getting involved and not helping is not the American way. |

Invitation to "War is Not Over" on Global Forum. Healthy discussion, mixed with humor, BS, and schizophrenics. Don't worry, you won't be alone. |

1 Yes, you are right. The conflict in the Middle East is rooted in the enmity between the descendants of Isaac and Ishmael, the sons of Abraham, over what was formerly the land of Caanan. It is an ancient hatred. Historically Lebanon has had peaceful relations with Israel going all the way back to the time of King David. On the other hand, Syria has always been a bitter enemy of Israel. Syria is a major part of the problem in Lebanon today and is a state sponsor of Islamic terrorist organizations who have a haven in that country. Islam has only inflamed that ancient hatred and justified it in the minds of muslims. |
