Hi,
I am in the process of setting up a car accessories and advertising website named www.CarJar.com I also own the .co.uk and .net variations of CarJar. To protect the name, is it possible to register 'CarJar.com .net & .co.uk' under one entity? I have carried out a quick search on the intellectual property website and the only CarJar which is registered (in 2008) is 'Car Jar' which is a brand of vehicle air freshener (similar to magic tree), owned by an American company, Yankee Candles. It is worth noting that I have owned, and loosely used the name since 2000/2001. I do not want to go through the expense of logo/website design, marketing costs etc if I experience problems with Yankee Candle Corporation! Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Regards, Chris |
