As long as they don't trademark Book, I'll be okay starting AssBook, or maybe SpaceBook (as long as Space doesn't get trademarked).

At some point no one will be able to write anything without being fined or imprisoned because every word in our language will be patented, trademarked and copyrighted.

English in any of its variations isn't even a legitimate language anyway because its bits and pieces of every other language thrown together.

English truly is an invention, get a patent for it.

If a linguist can invent a language for a TV show and own it then one of these days someone will patent the linguistic contrivance known as English.

Actually, Facebook has a two-prong approach. They're suing people who use "book" in their URL on the theory that it creates confusion in the mind or the consumer or, alternatively, that it's trading off Facebook's goodwill. Meanwhile Facebook is cozying up to the PTO making goo goo eyes at it about the work "Face." Which is ridiculous any way you look at it. For further analysis see http://bit.ly/hJMe5r
