I think it's a nasty name for a TV show.

Wow, they must have NOTHING better to do .. just like Ric Flair suing Stivers Automotive for saying "whoo!" in one of their commercials. Give me a break. These "celebrities" need to get new hobbies if they have that much free time on their hands!

I'm glad to hear that the Peppers are sueing over this trademark issue. Californication is theirs! When I see the word, I think of their song, and their album. It's very a very cleaver title/word. Showtime can take the concept of Californication and create a show but they'll need to come up with some other title. In this day and age, Showtime should have known better. The word "Californication" was non-existent before the Chili Peppers album. It's theirs, they own the rights, and all others should respect.

californication is a very creative title for a song and the chili peppers came up with it.. they have every right to sue someone for using the term for commercial success
