TMEP 903.1 - Date of First Use Anywhere

TMEP 903.1 - Date of First Use Anywhere

San Francisco, CA

#1 Aug 15, 2012
I am curious:
Can a type 1(a) trademark application (existing use) be correctly submitted if the date given for the date of first use anywhere is known to be incorrect because the date given is actually after the date of first use anywhere?
Date of first use as stated in application: Oct. 20, 2011
Actual date of first use (unknown at this time): Oct. 10, 2011
Will this make the registration cancelable or in any way weaken the application and eventually issued mark?
Thanks for your thoughts!
