This is discrimination to the lower income guest and also guests who do not have a computer or cell phon. It is bad enough that Disney raised their ticket prices, again. Basically Disney is stating that the more money you spend by staying at a resort, the more benefits you get. Quote from article, "the Spending per guest at hotels can determine different hierarchies of access to Fastpass," the application states. "Thus, the more that is spent by a patron, the higher the priority can be." Interpretation: the lower income guests will not have any priviledges. This is bringing back class status! What's wrong with you Disney? The way Fast Pass is now is fair to all guests. Is Disney really the happiest place on Earth or is it the happiest place on Earth depending on how much money spent?
Uhhhh, you do realize that Disney is a for-profit corporation and not a charity, right? If they can make more money by making the changes they propose, I say great.
And, FYI, the class system in this country never died. That's why they've always sold more than one model of car in this country, that there are many levels of restaurants, hotels, bath towels, jewelry, etc., etc.

(BTW: I'm a Disney stockholder. And I was not rich. I was just smart enough to start investing $50 per month when I was young and poor, and the share price was around $9.00 per share taking into account for the splits. Now its $33.56 per share. And I've worked hard to increase my investment amount every year. If you aren't smart enough to save, don't blaim the people who are and want the benefits of making it.)

I visit Orlando as often as I can afford, and its no cheap deal when you are coming across the pond. I can't imagine being able to afford to stay at a disney resort as it works out so expensive with two teenage daughters. We already have missed out on things like Disney Dining and Extra Magic hours...now the thought of losing fast pass does not instill me with much confidence in the fairness of Disney. I, like everyone else, still have to pay full price for my tickets to go to the parks, and feel quite indignant when we go to Universal and have to pay if we want fast passes. I guess I understand WHY Disney want to do this, but am disappointed by the fact that we will lose out because we would find it financially difficult to stay on site..ah well, they will do what they want to do....big companies always do, money breeds money!
