There are 1 comment on the Columbia Journalism Review story from May 10, 2013, titled Backsliding on the 'death panels' myth. In it, Columbia Journalism Review reports that:

House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell released a letter on Thursday stating that they would not recommend individuals for appointment to the Independent Payment Advisory Board , an obscure government panel created as part of the Affordable Care Act in an effort to reduce cost growth in Medicare.

You know what I don't care about all these seniors crying Obama Care will lead to so called death panels. Maybe it is time for death panels(I say in gest, OR do I...lol,lol,lol). The same senior citizens that cry, whine, bitch or moan about Obama Care and possible death panels are same seniors that won't do anything to help themselves unless a doctor told them so. They are sheep being lead by incompetent shepards.

These same crying/whining seniors won't take initative on the simplest of things even if capable. They rather be a mindless sheep being led astray by how their elders treated their health 50-75 years ago. Or by what their doctors learned in medical school 30 years ago.

Anything seniors can do for themselves the better. It's simple: if they don't use it they lose it. They stop doing physical stuff or stop what ever working out they can't even open a jar or lift a coffee cup-oh pity party. Or they complain it's cold or hot because they have no muscle(from the LACK of trying) or circulation. Seniors and young people must learn about health and fitness and what role it plays in other facets of their lives. But the current crop of seniors are too stupid and ignorant to learn about health, fitness and nutrition. They know it all and voluntarily will not learn new stuff. Must admit many seniors are only duplicating their younger adult lives with bloated egos and self esteem issues that prevent from leaving their comfort/knowledge zone.

They are relics and anachronisms from a percieved era where learned everything you needed to know in high school. But since these senior boys and girls don't want to learn and/or use and excerise their mind they vegetate. Another case of if you don't lose you WILL lose it.

YOU DONT USE IT YOU WILL LOSE IT. If the seniors won't take initatives to improve their health and condition why should we or the health care companies have to pay for their don't give a frack attitude. Why should anyone have to subsidize a crying, whining, bitching, moaning senior who will not help themselves. Not cannot but will not help themselves.

Senior life should be duplicating the teen years instead of preparing students for a job and life seniors should be preparing to live as independent and healthy as they can on their own. If they don't want to learn anything or take the most basic steps to maintain their health other than have a antiquated doctors prescribe them lots of drugs oh well-senior living IS on them.

Wake Up SENIORS or be prepared to testify AND lose in front of your panel.
