This a prime example on many behind the click seens, on what is going on,
High power , power of money, and people thinking that the few are above the law.
When are you people going to come out of the coal cracking , and old school ways, and wake up.
and get with the program, get educated in voteing, speak your voice , make your opion heard.
Carbondale Huh....!
This town needs a adjustment.

My heart goes out to anyone in this. I can only speak for myself but, Dr. Gregory Salko saved my life at least twice. I don't know about anything else going on there but he was a wonderful doctor to me and my family. I can not imagine this being the way it has sounded. Like the 1 attorney said, "There are 2 sides to every story." I remember Dr.Salko sitting at my bedside while I was in the hospital and he stayed all night to make sure I was alright. I still have faith in Dr. Salko and would go to him now if I still live in Pa. I live in Forida now and only wish I had even 1 doctor as caring as Dr. Salko.

Oh get a grip already! As a former patient of Salko, I can say from first-hand experience that the guy is an egotistical psychopath. Salko has been up to no good for wayyy too long. Some saw it and others didn't. I noticed that one of Salko's lawyers is a Casey...interesting. Salko has been a staunch monetary supporter of the political Casey family...coincidence??? I'll be keeping an eye on this trial with hopes that Salko gets his just dessert! But, will it be just a slap on the wrist...a few fines...and maybe a short stay at a "Country Club Prison"... or will justice finally be met this time?

Well, Here we have a can of worms that just got opened after all these years and someone is finally opened there eyes.
First off Lady Hawk I agree with you .
He snowed a lot of people ,
He made a lot of people legalized drogues in more ways then one during the years.
and was not licened for some meds.
and was like some doctors that came in to a hospital and not even look at a patient and adminstered orders ,and have the never to charge healthcare insurances on people that did not even get that certain care.
Come on some of us got charged for things that did not even existed on a bill.
During the years.
Boy, what money will do.
and what clicks will devloped in to.
And we still are blind to a lot of things
When are you people going to get a wake up call and come out of the old school ways and coal cracking ways.

Yes indeed Rail 55!! People need to wake up.. more ways than one!! Salko built much of his dynasty off the backs of the unsuspecting. I read that his son, David, that was in practice with him, moved to Maine and took up practice at a medical center..hmmmmm. I can't help but wonder what his "clique" will do now? And will Salko get any political help? We'll just have to wait and see. His trial should start September 4th. Anyone attending? There are a few more boards where people have been posting their grievances. Stay tuned folks! Copy and paste the following links. Do a google search too..you'd be surprised the things you come across.

Well, His son David left town ,we new that how convent.
He proble set his son up down there and new what was coming.
I would think , they would invetigate his son to.
Well political help in town wise ,
I do not think so , everytime the rubber hits the road in town , no one is around,
Thats because they do want to get caught themselves.
Now if there is anyone that would surface in the same realm it would be someone in the same click of money and power or someone that is paid off.
Here is food for thought if they start investigate records in his office they will proble find a lot of records fudged and more stuff.
Will here is another thing,
The people that work there at whites crossing all so.
there at risk to.
Boy I am wondering if they put a lot of fudge on the all the records.
your right it is not over yet.
The good doctor is going down hard.

Lady Hawk and Rail 55 should learn how to spell before making a post. They should also get a life instead of obsessing about the doctor.
After all, it is innocent until proven guilty not the other way around.

You're funny "learn to spell" person. Maybe YOU need spellcheck...eh? You're telling us to "get a life"..excuse me but..what are you doing here??? And by the way Mr / Ms "learn to spell"..Slako isn't a boy scout by any stretch of the imagination..yes I spelled his name Slako..pardon the pun. FYI toots...I WAS a patient of his. Were you a patient or perhaps a relative or fan? Please...spare me the hype and bs. Oh...see you at the courthouse? ;)

Pardon me...Mr Jess Pup...but we're here to comment on the topics...not turn it into a personal-bashing blog!! But since you've started it... couldn't you have been more imaginative with your screen nic? Plagiarizer!!! How do you like it, Mr Foot-In-Mouth-Disease??? And FYI...8 miles from the courthouse isn't at all too far to travel! You know what happens when someone "assumes"?Obviously, you didn't read ALL blog posts. Maybe people like YOU are a waste...eh??? I'll disregard your future posts.:) Go back...read...I have the "facts" in regards to Slako! I'm not the only one either!

Plagiarism is disgraceful. An 8 mile drive to a courthouse isn't at all too far to travel. As I stated in previous posts...I 'was' a patient of Salko for a number of years and there were some very strange happenings at his practice...that's why I left. Others saw it, too. I've heard that quite a few ex-patients are stepping forward...phoning the DA's Office since this story broke. Has anyone else heard about that? <Lady Hawk> <--- MY original screen nic....accept no imitations!:)

All I know is that I went to Dr. Salko, after hearing he perscribed narcotics. I was addicted to a narotic, but needed something stronger, as pain pill addicts often do, and I do have a legit physical condition, and I DID play up my symtoms to get the stronger meds!! And get them indeed I did!! But I KNEW what I was doing, and take responiblity for my part in that!! As far as the tragedy at the nursing homes, if he is proven guilty of letting those people suffer needlessly, I hope justice is carried out to the fullest!!

All you people on here sticking up for him must be family and you are all just worried that daddy or hubby is going to get locked up and cramp your life style. As for playing up your symptoms and him buying into it. any doctor that has a head on their shoulders would not just prescribe narcotics they would run test and try to fix the problem.

I agree thatsfunny, I am not sticking up for him, I am just taking responsiblity for my part, he as the doctor, should have know that tests, not more narcotics should have been done. I agree he broke and ethical code, but as a recovering pill popper, I have fooled many doctor's into perscibing medications...and my point was that these people in the nursing home, were defenseless, and had no part in what happened to them as a result of him breaking that code of ethics doctors swear to keep !! It's disgusting that these victims and his family had to/ and are suffering as a result.

I agree, he neds to pay for the suffering he caused the nursing home people. And also for the suffering he caused the patients who he did continue to prescribe narcotis for rather than offer them assistance. I am in the mental health field and I know the stories narcotics abusers can come up with but any Dr in there right mind knows not to just prescribe over and over again.

How about all the people that would go to him jsut so they could have time off of work. they were not even regular patients of his they would just go there cause they knew he would sign them off of work for as long as they wanted. As long as they worked for Fairview.

He has been known as "The Candy Man" for a long time. In 2004 he became "certified" to prescribe suboxone, an alternative to mathadone for narcotic addiction. How convienient. Now he can make more $$ curing the patients he made addicted to them in the first place.
