We really should have done it after WW11 like Britain did. It's so difficult now because the insurance companies have become so powerful. They're spreading ridiculous rumors about long waits and substandard care when the reality is that they pity us our health care system. In my opinion we're the greatest nation on the planet but too stubborn by far when it comes to adopting a plan from someone else. If it's better we should do it.

I've known several of these people for more than 20 years (that's preinternet fella) and I trust what they have told me. It looks to me like you're getting your info from some crazy blog and spreading it around as fact. As I said, Where is your proof? Can you site any links or sources? I'm trying to find out the truth. If my friends are all in some kind of minority, I'd sure like to know about it. I want what is best for my country. But repeatedly telling me I'm wrong without giving me anything to go on is useless. My friends tell me they have a much better system. If you would like to say something different by all means give me a credible reason not to believe them.

A 3 billion dollar profit in 2008 may not equal a 12K margin, but id bet its around 65-75% of premiums.
