That's the only way insurance can work so it's affordable for those who DO need it.
That's just one of the many idiotic things about this debacle. Do you charge your teenager rent too? You have to be a selfish, lowlife slacker to try to get over on your kids. I thought only crackheads used their kids to scam government benefits.

"the lack of younger healthy member will threaten the exhcanges." DUH. But,atoning for the years of admitted Outright Lies told by President Obama and the Congressional Democrats must be glossed over no matter how devastating the out comes for the ACA or the American people.

This thing, ACA, is going nowhere. Even if they fixed it by next November it won't be in time to fix the adverse publicity about it. People hate it. Only the poor, and unfortunate want it, and that's because they get it free. It is making the Democrats, and the President the laughing stock of the whole world.

Insurance takes the panic out of business, this WhiteHouse has monetized the panic in a way to feed K-Street. And they are his friends. You do not count.

The young will sign up, give it time and patience. They are not immune from diseases or accident-proof. Most of the young are progressives who have the ability to reason.(Unlike reThugs!)
The ACA is NOT a partisan issue! Wake up!!

If I had an 18 or 19 y/o who has graduated high school, I would most definitely charge them rent.

Considering the poor and those unfortunate enough not to have affordable health insurance are the EXACT people the ACA was created for...

No one expected Warren Buffet or Mitt Romney to sign up for it.

That would be fine if we only took care of those without healthcare, but Obama wanted power over everyone, and we won't stand still for Hitlerites pretending to be our Government.

Your last statement is so true, I know of two cases for real of people from other countries laughing at us now. Friends that I know visited in England recently and she said people over there are just laughing their butts off at us. Also know a couple stationed in Germany who are home on a visit and will be going back soon. She is from there originally and said that they once looked to us as the Country of strength and respected us for that, and the fact that we fight to keep our rights of freedon. But now she stated that they look at us as a very weak Country and laugh at what is going in our Country now. So yes we are the laughing stock of the whole world!

And give us one good reason why we should pay for services we don't need, it would be stupid of me a women over 55 to have to take a policy that covers birth control, maturnity care, pediatric care, etc. I don't need coverage for that anymore so why should I have to pay a higher premium and deductalbe for things I don't need. Let's use some common sense here, I think they need to scrap the whole thing and start all over cause it's just not working as they expected it too. Maybe it's time they all worked together to come up with something sensible that will be good for everyone and not hurt the American people.

QUOTE TONYDEM]I understand the dislike for "our" president by the GOP but I have yet to here any concern for people who are unable to afford health care and only go to see the doctor when it is to late or go to the emergency room for treatment. It seems to me the GOP has no alternative plan to care for the millions of uninsured that the tax payer ultimately has to cover. Come up with a better plan or shut up.

No, we are saying cover the people who are to old, or ill to buy their own healthcare, but leave the rest of us alone. This is devised to illuminate the middle class so we will have the rich politician, and their friends and the ghetto dwellers, and their like after we pay for the life style of the rich. This is the redistribution of wealth Hitler tried on steroids.

"The potential for rising monthly premiums and higher policy deductibles is just one deterrent to convincing young people to sign up for coverage on the exchanges."

But as young people typically earn less, wouldn't they be eligible for subsidies to pay for the insurance they're not buying because it's too expensive?

Huh?

Yeah... you got it. Nothing but a house of cards.
