Every time someone tried to get some help around here for the severe side effects from CHANTIX YES CHANTIX, they would be harrassed unmercifully until they no longer posted. It seems that the cheerleaders are paranoid that somebody will pay attention to us that have had these (and still having) these symptoms. Chantix is a killer for the back up and corretly recalling the facts. Have you read what the next thing is they want to use chantix to treat?

Winner wrote: <quoted text> OK, thanks for the clarification - you didn't "mean" to "upset". Got it. I guess you didn't "mean" it when you suggested to several that they should take their own lives "because the world would be a better place without you." I'm sure you didn't "mean" for your sucidial patient to kill himself because of your flippant attitude towards and gross mishandling of his situation. Nah....you didn't "mean" that either. When your license was revoked, did the State "mean" it? Teacher? What could you possible teach anyone except how to become vile, dry drunk. Why don't you just run along and spew your liver bile elsewhere....assuming you have any part of your boozed soaked liver left! Have a nice day!:) Do you think they know you are not me using AOL? LOL

I watched many enter AA and die along the way. They just could not get it. Same with cigarettes. I am lucky and determined. For me Chantix was a very small part of this quit. The people who post here have been my help. I had NO side affects. Weaned myself off at 2 months. The dreams were sweet. Or just funny. I don't think I would have made it this far without ALL of you. I am not proud of being an alcoholic any more than I am proud of being addicted to cigarettes. I am very grateful for the recovery program that I found. It is a great way of life. Would have been great not to need it, but I thank God that someone(s) put it together for people like me. There are some folks here who are very bitter about the damage done to them by the addicts in their lives just as I am sure there are folks who are bitter that the people they loved chose to smoke and die a horrid, early death due to the smoking. I can only pray for their healing. It is very sad to waste a life in bitterness and hatred. Some folks here are just plain hateful, but hey!- it takes all kinds, right? It is a glorious smokefree, substance free day with white fluffy clouds sprinkled across a clear azure sky. How can a person NOT be grateful? Oh yeah, I just got a call that Fibro Response is in at Vitamin Cottage. I will go pick it up when I get a chance and let fellow fibro folks know if it works.

HarleyBob wrote: Absolutely amazing that I have been nicotine-free for 20 months as of today. This would not have happened without Chantix and all of you supportive people. Also, today is 25 months for Kathy in Warren, MI, and 22 months for PRMike and 10 months for Lisa from VT. AZQuitter is 11 months tomorrow. KTQ and, while dismissing VL and her multiple mindless personalities, remember why we are here. I have been off the computer for a few days and I missed so many milestones. I know I don't have time to read all the posts but I do want to say CONGRATULATIONS!!! You rock and you ride on down that sweet smellin', smokefree road. Happy trails and keep the shiny side up!

You have worked hard for them and earned them. Please remember: Not One Puff Ever and you will have it beat!

I hope you have good results from it! One of our kids is driving from CO to MO today after work, stopping for the night & finishing the trip tomorrow. I hope the storms don't get too bad between there & here. Aren't you having some much cooler weather right now? Later.

Esad wrote: <quoted text> You lie through your teeth Janice. You DO MEAN to upset people. You DO have an AOL account, your forgetfullness shows in the times you tried to use it here to mock and forgetting to change your handle. Right is right and Esad under AOL and Denver, CO is u! Now if you and others here feel keeping the real effects of chantix quiet is the way to go then you might want to consider this. LOTS of people smoke and DRINK alcohol. Chantix and alcohol do not mix. Chantix does help do away with liking things you used to love like smoking, drinking, gambling, sex, food ... Lots of meds don't mix with alcohol. If you can't give up booze for a few months to quit smoking, then I suggest you check out OTHER recovery programs. If you can't stop drinking, then you MIGHT be an alcoholic!(Sorry Jeff Foxworthy, couldn't help but borrow the saying!) For the most part I don't care how upset you get. That is YOUR problem and YOUR choice (personal responsibility again dearie). However, the post in question was not meant to upset you or anyone else. Get it? No, I thought not. I fully admit and recognize your inability to control your paranoia and I do not want to add to your pathology. honest.

mememarg wrote: To anyone who is new here ...just for the record. No one here now except for the negative poster has harassed anyone who had problems with Chantix. When they posted with side effects we would post back to them to help them OR to contact their doctor if it was a severe s/e. The negative poster jumped on those people who had s/e or posted a bunch of junk on sites that had nothing to do with their problem when they were looking for a personal response instead of helping them AND also jumped us for answering anyone who posted with their side effects. Negative poster...I do understand that YOU can't help what's happening to you right now BUT with medication you can have a VERY good life. Do yourself, your family & your friends a favor...Go back to the doctor for help. OR you can keep wasting you life in paranoia! My friend who took the medication & was like her own self decided to go off it. The last couple of weeks have been hell for her family AND friends... Another of my friends has been concerned just in case my troubled friend decides to turn on me since she is much bigger than I am. Please get help!! It doesn't matter what might have caused the problem..it matters HOW you take care of it now. Kind of like the person who spends a lifetime blaming the tobacco companies for making cigarettes more addictive rather than taking steps to quit. Or the person who had a terrible childhood and ruins their adult life rather than getting help and learning to live a happy life. Only you can control what you do now. Only you can decide what to do with the gift that is the here and now. If you give that power and control to another person or a substance then you have only yourself to blame and only you can take back that power. It ain't easy but it is simple!!!!!

I am usually fighting to keep it green by this time of the year. I think we are in for some hot, dry days/weeks soon. We are enjoying it while we can! I will keep you informed with the Fibro Response. I like formula because it seems to have some of the supplements that I take anyway and I can decrease the number of pills I take. In addition, I like the liver and immune system support that is included. My liver has not been happy lately. Damn.

OK. I have to get some things done and I have had enough of the VL look alikes and the other idiots that try to clutter this thread. I don't have time to read them and I don't choose to be irritated by the ignorance and hatred (damn, there goes that personal responsbility thingie again). SOOOOOO: to the Esads, the Winners and the other bottom feeders, please have a wonderful day. If you are smober, congratulations. If you are not, whatcha doin hangin around here?

seems as if the troll people are hidden under their bridges when I come out to play. Whatsamattah U? Chicken chit to face the real one? I read the previous stuff under my name and it was pure crap. I do not say such things about the REAL quitters and posters here. They are trying to get a better thing going and beat a rough habit. They deserve lots of support and credit. the "bottom feeder" [perfect description, gc] group isn't doing anything but trying to cause as many problems as possible. crawl back under your bridges. dark and slimy things wait for you and you will feel rite at home.
