WE will not forget this in 2010! Shame on all of you so called people caring politicians. taxes, penalties for not joining their plan, and everyone will end up with this crap..if you don't believe it read the grandfather clause, if any type of changes takes place to your existing plan by you or your employer, change of benefits, premiums, etc, you automatically get shoved into the government plan! Great job union folks..O bama care is going to shove it down your throats.

The chances of Pelosi's bill passing through the senate are slim. By then, the conservatives will have had time to actually get excerpts of the bill to the public. The 1.2 trillion will really sink in at Christmas time with people out of jobs too. Most democrats I know here in Southern California are against the public option. It's a pipe dream. It's truly a win-win situation for the republicans. The democrats that voted for the bill will most probably lose their seats next year. Rahm Emanuel has already mentioned that old people will not be a priority in health care reform. Obama forgets that seniors are a huge voting base in any political campaign.

Everyone will have to work overtime just to pay the tax increase that this is going to bring. Hope you're just as happy about that.

The liberals have definitely signed their own death warrants on this one. Let's see if they like being among the unemployed next year.

Obama claims that socialized medicine will save the economy by controlling costs, yet Medicare alone now costs taxpayers $60 billion a year due to fraud. Compare this to the annual $8 billion combined profits of the top 10 health insurance companies--who at a profit margin of 3% average are the evil villians according to the democrats. Google's profit margin is 21.73%.

Countries with socialized medicine control costs in 2 ways--by underpaying the providers (as Medicaid already does)and denying care to patients.

Candidate Obama made speeches about controlling health care costs thru coordinated care, preventive medicine, electronic medical records, etc.

President Obama has already made speeches about too many CAT scans & MRIs and cited his grandmother as an example of wasting $$ on a hip replacement in someone elderly. His top health advisor Ezekiel Emanuel has written numerous articles with the same view: care controlled by age with the young given priority as current contributors to society.

And just so voters will not hold Congress responsible for rationing, ObamaCare will transfer the decision of who gets what to an independent commission. This government commission will control costs by dictaing to doctors what tests and treatments will be allowed. Doctors who order less rx for their patients will be compensated more than doctors who the commission feels spend too much on their patients.

ObamaCare follows the footprint of Britains NICE (National Institute for Health & Clinical Excellence)which recommends against any treatments that cost more than $45,000 to save a year of life. Because of this British cancer patients are denied access to drugs that are routinely available in the US.

Obama's lies, will cause more to die while we all pay more for less.

Question: If Obama's health care plan is so fantastic, will he and all the other politicians be participating in the program? If not, what does that tell you-that the program sucks or that they are better than the average Joe?

From what I've read, it appears that the payments for this health care will be deducted from our income first, for a few years, then we get the benefits starting in 2012 or 2013. Does anyone here have concurring information? I have been paying for my own health care for a year now, direct to the doctor, and really can't afford much more. I am unemployed and quite frankly, the idea of landing a $20 an hour job has quickly faded. If the IRS takes more, this will force me into losing what little I have. I see "tent city" in my future.

We are already giving trillions to the insurance companies for health care. The insurance companies skim off at least a third of that money while providing nothing. The right wing conservatives are either deluded or complicit.
