A whole new life... that sounds so wonderful!
I've been smoking since I was 16 yrs old... i'm even staying away from drinking, as i don't even know what drinking is like with out smoking...(i've never done that) So many things i havn't done... and so many to blame due to smoking!

A friend of mine told me I need to pick a new hobby... I've been thinking of Culinary school.(this is not set in stone... thinking out loud)

I don’t remember exactly when it was, seems to me that it was around 3 month mark.
You’ll be there in no time, now you’re past 1 month the time will start to fly by.
I do remember that time almost seemed to stand still for the first month or so, at least for me

Yeah, there are days that go by normally & those that won't ever end. I'm just tired of thinking about it now. When a craving comes upon me these days, it's almost like a housefly zipping by my ear. It's out of nowhere & just SO annoying. I can't wait for that to end.

Thats amazing Anna that it's already working like that for you. I kept thinking to myself ~ when are they going to start tasting bad? It didn't happen for me until the 6th day and thats when i put my last one out for good.

Hi all.

Starting day 9 of my quit. The side effects of Chantix have basically subsided; I've slept thru the last two nights.

However, now that I'm not focusing on dealing with the negative effects of the drug - I've been left all alone to miss and mourn my little deadly friend. Oh well, I can be blue for a while,(better than hacking up half a lung, I suppose).

Reading all the posts here for the past couple of weeks has been so helpful. I didn't think I could do this quit alone - and I haven't.

Seriously... thanks to all of you.

As to who I look like: There's a saying that a woman in her 50s is more likely than any other person (man, kid, age group) to successfully rob a bank, because women in their 50s are 'invisible' in our culture, so no one would be able to describe the robber to police.

When I was young I was told I looked like Patty Duke (when she was young).
