Late last month, the National Association of Manufacturers said businesses are preparing for the worst — meaning they're not spending to expand and add jobs — largely because of the threat of two things: A divided Congress and administration can't agree on whether they should spare all Americans automatic tax increases or allow rates for wealthier taxpayers alone to increase, and in the absence of that agreement, the alternative has been a looming across-the-board spending cut, set to come at year's end when those tax increases will also hit.

"Right now we're holding back on all but the most necessary external hiring," said Dave Cote, chairman and CEO of Honeywell, a Fortune 500 firm that employes 130,000 people worldwide. "And on capital expenditures, if I can make the decision now or six months from now, I'll make the decision six months from now and see what develops."

What a bunch of crap.

I used to own two small businesses at two different times.

I never based my expansion or hiring on TAXES I would have to pay.

It was always based on demand, feasablity and profit.

That is capitalism.

If your profit margin is that tight, where taxes are going to sink your ship as these guy's are claiming, are full of crap and they shouldn't be in that position in the first place.

Go check out http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/ and you’ll see that President Obama (as of this posting) has an 85% chance of winning re-election with about 306 Electoral Votes (he only needs 270 to win)…

But hey, even Vera Baker appeared briefly… to early vote for Barack Hussein Obama, LOL.

They didn't call you?

Maybe they called Rannity?

You two know the most about it, right?

Like Bill Frist (R) Tn. knew all about Terri Schiavo without visiting or examining her but through a video tape.

Mitt Romney’s branding Russia as America’s prime geopolitical foe apparently doesn’t inhibit his family’s quest for business opportunities. Son Matt reportedly traveled to Moscow seeking investments for his firm.

Matt Romney, the second-eldest son of the Republican presidential nominee, advertised business opportunities to potential Russian partners this week, reports the New York Times newspaper. He sought investment for the California-based retail holding Excel Trust, where he has been serving as senior vice-president of capital markets since 2009.
But while in Moscow, Matt Romney told a Russian known to be able to deliver messages to President Vladimir Putin that, despite the campaign rhetoric, his father wants good relations if he becomes president, the newspaper claims citing a person informed about the conversation.

One side or both sides are lying. And frankly, these lies by pollsters and media and others is tiresome. It is tiresome and stressful for no reason on voters. They should be held to threat of long term criminal incarceration. We live in an era of perpetual candidacies. And one way or the other, I am going to be glad that we will see the end of political commercials soon. At least for a while. Now if they can do the same for the lawyer commercials. That would be a miracle.

You need to re-read the article. Manufacturers are holding back on expansion not because of taxes THEY will pay, but because of the increased taxes every American will pay, which will cut into consumer spending.

Any business that doesn't look at consumer spending prior to expansion is foolish.

President Obamas has NEVER demonstrated the ability to work with other elected officials during his tenure as President and even during his senate years. The guy couldn't even make a decision on whether to vote Yea or Nay and decided to vote Present! Maybe that indecisive mentality prevented the 4 Americans in Libya from getting the asked for help.

Governor Romney is very capable of making decsions. He was demonstrated the ability to work with democrats when as governor he had an 87% democrat legislature.

America NEEDS a president who WILL work with other duly elected officals. These officials shouldn't be swept under the rug, like President Obama has done to the Republican party.

Governor Romney said he will NOT blame his predecessor for how he left the government, as President Obama has blamed President Bush.

Do you want 4 more years of blame, inability to work with other elected officials or do you want compromise and no blame?

Our future and those of our children hang in the balance.

Let's get this done!

All that, and Romney's is STILL going to win North Carolina?

You must be very disappointed that so many Democrats are voting Romney, but it's happening all across the nation:
