Exactly - which is why they tried to suppress it for 1 year - so they MAY have a chance - slim at that - of retaining the house.

Once this goes into effect, the republicant's will be a laughing stock.

More so than now!

Good lord. All these whiners just need to buy health insurance and stop freeloading off the system. Why should those who have health insurance foot the bill for the uninsured who skip out on their medical bills?

The interesting thing is the the individual mandate was a Republican idea. Obama gave them what they wanted and now they are whining about it. If it were up to die hard Liberals...no one would have to pay for health insurance...nor be penalized for it.

Which is why the GOP RINO TEA Party is irrelevant. They don't know what they want---they are just anti-Obama. I have an easier time arguing with my 5 year old.

Well apparently Muslims are exempt from the mandate.

Senate Bill, H.R. 3590, pages 273-274

There are several reasons why an individual could claim exemption, being a member of a religion that does not believe in insurance is one of them. Islam is one of those religions. Muslims believe that health insurance is “haraam”, or forbidden; because they liken the ambiguity and probability of insurance to gambling. This belief excludes them from any of the requirements, mandates, or penalties set forth in the bill. Other excluded groups include Amish, American Indians, and Christian Scientists.

Obama the arrogant disses Republicans, makes fun of them. Why? Over 50% of the American people do NOT like Obamacare. I say Obama is acting very Unconstitutional by delaying the parts he wants and cramming the rest down our throats. Just hope he doesn't complete his nanny state agenda before he is out of office.

Now here is the voice of a reasonable Democrat, who makes my case for me.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/democrati...

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia broke ranks with fellow Democrats and said he’d support a stopgap spending plan that delays the individual mandate in President Barack Obama’s health-care law.

“There’s no way I could not vote for it,” Manchin said at a Bloomberg Government breakfast today.“It’s very reasonable and sensible.”[...]

“Don’t put the mandate on the American public right now,” Manchin said.“Give them at least a year. If you know you couldn’t bring the corporate sector, you gave them a year, don’t you think it’d be fair?”
----------
The LOGIC is impeccable for delaying the mandate----Corporate America gets a pass from Obama BUT the aveerage citizen does not???

DELAY THE MANDATE & Fund the Government.

Is that to say the current health care insurance industry with no regulations isn't a racket?

The narcissist in chief has so much riding on this. It's his legacy, not to mention that those who installed him (Soros) have invested billions in the insurance sector. If the bill is indeed so bad all the republicans have to do is sit back and wait for it to self destruct.

If that happens as it's claimed, the 2014 elections should be a breeze. By that time we'll definitely know if the program is working and popular.

Bottom line, whomever is wrong on this is going to take a big hit in congress.

What better way than through American's wallets..He will get the last laugh when America is broke from paying through the roof for Obamacare.Only the illegals and people with pre-existing conditions will benefit.Illegals will get healthcare free for them, paid for by real American citizens and the others get subsidies paid for by Citizens. Half the citizens in the state of Texas can't afford Insurance. Texas has more minimum wage jobs than any other state in the union. The entire state qualifies for medicaid and half the workers earn less than 9.00 an hour.
