Paul Ryan booed, applauded at AARP convention

NEW ORLEANS Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan got boos - and some applause - from the crowd at AARP's annual convention here Friday morning as he touted his plan to overhaul Medicare and harshly criticized President Obama, who had addressed the group via satellite ahead of Ryan.

The AARP is a pro-democRat anti-gun bunch of a-holes milking old geezers out of their money...not putting money in the wallets of old geezers; that would be the day.
Ryan was telling them the truth about obama and just like the bottom feeders on this forum they reject it...what morons.
Fortunately others got it because the facts show b. h. obama is a self-serving marxist Rat.

You'll see b. h. obama's helping hands when you fill up at the gas station, when you pay for your groceries, when you pay your utility bills and when you see 4 innocent Americans murdered on 9/11 not because of a movie but because of b. h. obama's incompetent helping hands...what a hoax.

Barack Obama's Half Brother Discovered in Hut in Kenya
Wednesday August 20, 2008

Barack Obama's youngest half brother has been living in a shanty town on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya, the Italian edition of Vanity Fair reports.

"No-one knows who I am," George Hussein Onyango Obama, 26, told the magazine. "I live here on less than a dollar a month."

George's shack – which measures only 6 feet by 10 feet – features football posters and a photograph of the Democratic presidential hopeful from a newspaper.

"I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist," said George, who has the same father as the Illinois senator.

"If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related," he added. "I am ashamed," he said of the way he lives.

George, who recently enrolled in a local technical college, has met Obama twice: when he was 5-years-old and in 2006 when the senator visited Nairobi.

"It was very brief, we spoke for just a few minutes," George recalled of the 2006 encounter. "It was like meeting a complete stranger."

In his autobiography, Obama described George as a "beautiful boy with a rounded head."

How I became George Obama's 'brother'
By Dinesh D'Souza
Published August 16, 2012
Fox News Opinion

A few days ago I received a call from a man I recently met named George. He was a bit flustered, and soon informed me that his young son was sick with a chest condition. He pleaded with me to send him $1,000 to cover the medical bills.Since George was at the hospital I asked him to let me speak to a nurse, and she confirmed that George's son was indeed ill.So I agreed to send George the money through Western Union. He was profusely grateful. But before I hung up I asked George, "Why are you coming to me? "He said, "I have no one else to ask."Then he said something that astounded me, "Dinesh, you are like a brother to me."

Actually, George has a real life brother who just happens to be the president of the United States.(George Obama is the youngest of eight children sired by Barack Obama Sr.) George's brother is a multimillionaire and the most powerful man in the world. Moreover, George's brother has framed his re-election campaign around the "fair share" theme that we owe obligations to those who are less fortunate.

"It's that fundamental belief - I am my brother's keeper,
I am my sister's keeper - that makes this country work."

Watching the solemn faced obama and hilliary it was clear the goal for those two was to distance themselves from the murders of 4 innocent Americans who were sitting ducks in Libya.
The White House smoke about a movie is beginning to clear and we see who is responsible for not keeping a close eye on the hen house. The Libya incident reeks with incompetence just like the very, very close call just a few years ago over Detroit on Christmas Day when the perp’s own father blew the whistle and no one took him seriously. Security incompetence was in full swing all while kids, grandparents and everyday Americans were getting the third degree before they boarded a plane.
For Libya there were warnings and red lights that went way beyond the mere anger over a movie and no one bothered to inform those in harm's way and that is inexcusable.
Once again the incompetence reeks and the self serving chumps for change are distancing themselves with finger pointing and spurious condolences. It's a very sick obamanation and it must end or the next victims of their utter incompetence could be you and yours.

You are so right. Both Flip and Flopper can't even get on the same page and agree with one another. At least Biden is funny when he talks. Ryan on the other hand, is dead serious and almost foaming at the mouth when he talks about vouchers and privatizing social security. Romney only recently changed his stance on his way to ...Florida. The state where seniors go to retire.

Very strange. Paul Ryan got booed out of his Town Hall meetings all last spring when he said he wanted to over-turn Obamacare to give us vouchers and privatize social security. When Romney brought Ryan in as his running mate, I thought .....oh great. Here we go.
Romney says he is not going to privatize social security but his running mate is out there still talking about it? Something is rotten in Denmark and Romney is lying. You do not send your running mate out to talk about something you do not plan on having.
Ryan is radical and way too raical for me. He is right up there with Allen West and Joe Wilson who is both nuttier than a 3 dollar bill.

OK, just what part of ANY change to Medicare, to SAVE it from throwing all seniors onto a lower form of Obamacare, that ONLY APPLIES TO ANYONE 54 OR YOUNGER AT THE TIME OF IMPLEMENTATION, do you not get? What part of you get a CHOICE OF REGULAR MEDICARE OR THE VOUCHER SYSTEM, do you not get? Are you reading challenged or are you simply repeating the DNC script you got on your e-mail without thinking even for one second if the information was correct? Really, it's pathetic how ignorant you guys are about the realities of this plan. NO ONE, absolutely NO ONE who is on Medicare NOW or who will be on Medicare within the NEXT TEN YEARS OR MORE will be affected by any change. Really, just what is so difficult for you lemmings to grasp about that concept? And what do you not understand that anyone under the age of 54, when the program will start, will have A CHOICE? Really, this is not difficult to grasp, my 9 yr. old grandson could grasp it, surely you are at least as intelligent as a 9 yr. old.

It's change grandma and grandpa believe in. Seniors are poised to vote at historic levels on Election Day. And it's bad news for Democrats. They support Republicans more than any other age group.

Republicans are more likely to vote at every age this year. But it's older Republican voters--including GOP-leaning independents--who could create a generational tide
AARP recently ran a study of its membership. Two-thirds lack confidence that their children's generation will be better off than their own. More than four in five of its members view the economy negatively.
Eight in 10 seniors say they are "certain" to vote this year, according to ABC News/Washington Post polling. That's 11 points above seniors standing in its 2006 survey.

Hilarious----a boo at the AARP convention and the left nubtalls on this forum get all giddy. Sorry, boys and girls, but the seniors remember Reagan taking this country to new heights, and have seen nobama take it to new lows.

Spin your demorat scare tactics all you want. They're hysterical.

Democrats' struggle with seniors is not news. Voters 60-plus sided with Republicans in seven of the last ten presidential elections (and two exceptions were Clinton era three-man contests). Yet, among that same 60-plus population, Democrats have actually faired better in midterms. Democrats split seniors in 2006 and won the larger 60-plus bloc, as they did in Reagan era midterms.

AARP FL seniors-Boomer poll: Obama 44%-Romney 46%, Sen. Nelson 39%-Mack 42%
Despite repeated attempts to paint Republicans as bad for Medicare and Social Security, President Obama and Sen. Bill Nelson are essentially tied with their Republican rivals when it comes to Florida retirees and baby boomers, a new AARP poll shows.

No where does it say he saved every dime of his benefits, but if he did, so what? His father paid into social security and then died before using them Ryan's two years of benefits were a pittance as compared to an average lifetime benefit. If he and his mother chose to save money to help offset college costs, what's it to you?

Would you have preferred his mother hadn't worked and gone to school to provide a better life for herself and kid?

When you consider the fact that while mom was working or at school, Ryan was left with Alzheimer granny, he earned that benefit money. Perhaps you would have rather the Ryan's had stuck granny in a home and let Medicare/Medicaid pick up the tab. Al in all, the Feds made out quite well in the Ryan case.

Oh you must have been in a coma the past few days. I said that Mormon Rich Money believes that people who depend on government for financial assistance believe they are victims. It's been reported on pretty much every new outlet the past couple of days. He pretty much dissed Paul Ryan.

He didn't specifically say he would deny survivor benefits (not sure where you are getting that information). But you bring up a good point. Given the fact that he endorses the Paul Ryan plan which would gut medicare and medicaid and his belief that people believe they are victims dependent on government, that is not out of the realm of possibility.

He can't, he makes things up between snorts of fairy dust.

This President is either clueless or thinks seniors are stupid. He stressed the doughnut hole which is the only part of Obamacare that helps seniors, and only those who are in it. The remainder of seniors has seen an increase in drug costs, an increase in co-pays and an increase in deductibles, but, of course, Obama didn't address any of that. Re: social security, Obama didn't mention that he intends to lower the CPI on which the COLAs are based so that seniors will receive less and less of an increase. He is extremely deceitful! SENIORS, DON'T BE FOOLED. A VOTE FOR OBAMA IS A VOTE AGAINST SENIORS!!!

Obama controlled a Democratic Congress for 2 years and years 3 and 4 he was MIA campaigning, fund raising and golfing. To even print President Obama's comment " draw on the best from both parties'' is laughable when he constantly criticizes them.
Unfortunately President Obama maybe a Harvard graduate but he never learned criticism does not "bring people together".

Many do believe they are victims, and many abuse the system. Time to get it in check and nobama can't do it, only makes it worse. Ryan is NOT gutting medicare and medicade for seniors, he's advocaating saving it with help from the private sector for younger workers. DUH

Why don't you explain to us how the hell nobama paid for his colleges? No one knows, his mother was too poor. Ryan never said he was a victim. He recieved benifits after his father died and used it to for education. Y'know, his father paid for those benifits? Unlike many on welfare don't do.
