Stupid? For not allowing an unfunded federal mandate to bankrupt the state? Thank God we still have a modicum of sanity at the state government level. We sure as hell don't have it at the federal level.

Unfunded? We are refusing federal aid that can help our poor and disabled folks. We are refusing an infusion of money that can help our stare's economy. If we dont take it, another state will get it. Missourians apparently like being the poorest and worst state in the country.
I don't like the federal spending either, bit what we do here wont have any effect on what they di in Washington dc.
