Well I guess the EPA could just about go after millions of people. Lead base paints where used for many, many years, and look we are still here, and amazingly we still have some very intelligent people in the country, probably the vast majority. As a youngster I, many times, chewed on a lead bullet, painted many times with lead based paint with no protection. Went to college, graduated with an engineering degree. This may indicate that lead could help not harm. This may be doubtful, but the over reaction by government is just a justification of their jobs. I might add that as a youngster I also ran behind the sprayers spraying DDT to kill the bugs, it was hot and the spray cooled us off. Common sense was not something kids had or have, but one does acquire it as one ages. Government seems to believe that people are not able to do what is right for themselves. This is incorrect, it is time that many of the government agencies are disbanded. They are causing more harm and costing more money then the good they do for people. Ok this guy get fined $8,000, and what happens, are people better off because of the fine? Nope, but someone has a job punishing Americans. This is a sick system.

Every new car comes with a Prop 65 Environmental Warning about the chemicals that cause cancer.
Even the Orange Line has Prop 65 signs along the route. The world has been pussified and castrated. |

I he is very unlikely to gross much money (that means profit after expenses.) He pays taxes, insurance, repairs and maintainence, some utilities, he may have rent control units that forbid profit from being a consideration as rents are set. He is not putting people's lives in danger. People don't often eat paint or allow their children to eat paint. If they are the type of people that are willing to eat paint, they probably won't read the paper that they are given them advising them not to eat the paint. These fines are just brilliant revenue raising ideas by government. It's probably an accidental oversite by the property owner who has nothing to gain and everything to lose by not handing out the lead based paint paper. |
