I'd like to hear the same story from the urinal manufacturer/installer. I'm aware of many installations where this has worked well. It sounds like an installation/maintenance problem.

The urinals were estimated to save 1 million gallons of water a year.
They have been replaced with new urinals that use just a half-gallon of water per flush.
So what did this cost the tax payers ? THEY were already installed ? THanx Arnold and all your so called help ..it is stupid spending like this that got Cal. in this problem. We nedd a tax revolution big time everyone claim exempt for just one year that will show them...

It seems to me the men weren't aiming at the urinal when they were doing the No#1.

Our overpaid government bureaucrats should not have to smell the foul odor of urine as they carelessly spend our money and urinate all over taxpayers and businesses in mandating environmental regulations that obviously don't work!!!
They should have been forced to continue to use the waterless urinals as a reminder of their bureaucratic stupidity.

Democrats have the zombies vote for them! Republicans have sober, rational, and mature people vote for them1 This is a stupid Democrat or an intelligent Republican to run the the state of affairs! Democrats have no moral character and Republicans do! Wise up and vote for a human being instead of the lunaticsc who are running the aslyum! Democrats create big carbon footprints, are full of hot air; which enlarges the ozone holes!

This article is so incorrect it is amazing. My company has installed 1000 waterless urinals (not the same brand the Cal EPA building used)with no more problems than that of the water type urinals. The wet floor comment is amazing to me because these are waterless, this just means they pee on the floor in Sacramento and then blame it on the urinal not the people. If the engineers at the building would have done their research they could have chosen the right waterless urinals and saved alot of water. By putting in the water type urinals they are wasting approximately 7,000 gallons a day. GREAT JOB GOVERMENT no wonder why we have such high taxes and can't balance the budget.
