Has the GOP changed from "ain't no climate change" to "Climate change is the democrats fault."

I know the change is coming, I just don't know when. Any day now is my guess.

As long as Obama and the EPA can give away $8BILLION to 'select' companies, that is what is important right now.

The US Department of Energy loan guarantees were a successful program from the BUSH era, that supported a LOT of jobs (and a very few failures). Rust belt America will never be able to survive as a major power without government promotion of science and development JUST as it has in the past.

The EPA has no giveaways. They are a department that oversees REGULATION of the common resources such as land, air and water. You have nothing here. Please try to support a more detailed 'assessment' of the role of government and maybe you will find intelligent responses. So far, you don't deserve one.

???They are giving away hundreds of billions to 'select' companies; of course selected by the GOP. The federal reserve bank alone has received trillions of dollars.

The question is: why do we let giant corporations run the government and the economy to their benefit and to the detriment of everyone else? They are literally destroying the planet for their own short term gain.

But that's OK, you have to defend them anyway. Go for it.

Donny, I don't support the government giving any business, green or otherwise,'free' money. I know they call it 'loan guarantees' but our 'loan guarantee' for Solyndra cost the tax payers a half a BILLION dollars. We always hear from guys like MoreProgressiveHype that if the government doesn't give out 'loan guarantees' there will be no progress. Come up with a car that gets 60mpg, or an energy source that will heat your home for $100 a year or the cure for cancer and you'll be one rich SOB because people will buy it. Right now, companies build wind energy towers because the government 'subsidizes' them and CAN'T lose money. They know it's not feasible but what the hell, we still make money. The government has no business being involved with which company wins and which company doesn't. Those favored companies are the ones the government has created and they want them to get bigger. The root of the problem is not the business, it is the government deciding who wins.
