The National Retail Federation has alot of guts spinning the latest unemployment or jobs numbers. Retail was one of the first business sectors to use and abuse part-time workers & status. When less than half of Americans have a fulltime job that is very telling.

But this statistic should be expected after years of downsizing, streamlining or budget manipulation. The public has been groomed to think outsourcing and downsizing is efficient or 'normal' for your average businesses. And all those tax breaks in the name of potential local jobs and economies has not lead to squat. In the meantime individual property taxes have held steady and many places have added to an existing sales tax.
