You know after reading your little outburst there I decided in my mind that you sound just like a Sutherland Global manager or want to be manager. The point that I am making is that I understand in some small way where you are coming from because I have been there and done that before. But now truth is truth. Sutherland Global Services preys upon hard work of the poor and the working poor. I'm a Canadian and your feelings and complaints are no different then mine or anyone who has ever taken on a position at Sutherland. When you really look at it Sutherland is like a cancer attacking the weakest part of the body. Sutherland only shows up in the hardest hit cities or countries of the world. Don't believe me, just take a look at where they have setup their offices in the countries and the places. They will never and I say never setup in a city that is doing well because they depend on low wages to no wages and that is my friend is how they make their money. I mean with all the government grant and loans..they make their money.
Sutherland doesn't care about anything or anybody. Not me, not anybody and that includes you. Just remember this letter and I told you so when they hurt your feelings.

First let me say that I support your complaints about working extra hours and not receiving compensation. That is wrong and I hope you are reimbursed for that.

But many of the other complaints here are similar to many companies - bad management, preference to certain people, calling in sick, working you to death and not hiring extra people. It happens everywhere. In fact, a lot of companies make you salaried so they do not have to pay overtime. My company is outsourcing many jobs so we have lost a lot of people here. That forces us to work over 40 hours per week with no overtime.

See, American companies are putting the word "Global" in their name because they want to move many of their operations out of the country. They boast they can hire 10 people from India for the price of 1 American worker. I have nothing against the people of India or other countries, but my loyalty must lie here in America. With so many losing their jobs right now, we need the jobs. Unfortunately companies are too greedy to care.

I, as many others here, do not support Call Centers or any jobs outside of America. I have been known to hang up if the phone is answered but someone who does not properly speak English and does not understand my problem. I will then call the head office and voice my complaint. I did that with Dell and finally they assigned someone from here to deal with my problem. I paid a lot of money for their product which included tech support and I was determined to get proper satisfaction.

I could go on and on, but in the end, I wish you well and good luck.

The company seems good to work for. The work scene is hectic and the floor supervisors/couches all "wing" their answers except a few who truly are concern to provide the correct training and help. The performance of the couches needs more training to upgrade.

I was an Ex Employee of Sutherland Currently working for Alacel Lucent as Senior Network Engineer. Regarding the company i have only one comment that the people Sutherland from Mumbai thats also from the HR and the Support that include training is pathetic and there is respect for talented people there works only one one thing politics for getting promotion.
Politics was happen with me in Chennai Sutherland i was working for Bellcanada as Technical Support the working environment is disgusting and all the people starting from Mnager to the support team from the production are there in office only to lick girls legs bullsheet.. For instance there is one great bullsheet who doesn't have technical but still working as SME HIS NAME is Guatam Nayyar right now he is in Earthlink i don't know this kind of bullsheet people are working in the comapany........ So in a whole people are sucking the comapny COMPANY IS NOT BAD ........

So anybody from the management department of Sutherland if anyhow look in this topic kindly try to improve the scenario of the comapny...

99% of ex employee of sutherland feedback is negative which is sad.......

I am glad to see so many people with similar opinion!!!! I worked for Mumbai office and it was a s*** hole place to work. Food suck so much that food served in Tihar jail is top notch compared to sutherland cafeteria. Managers are b******* who are only interested in promoting people who have pussy. But above all what I really hated about Sutherland was racial issues. Mumbai was compeletely divided between two communities Muslims and South Indians.... f****** a**hole place to work for. I prefer to work for Bin laden then Sutherland...

I had my car stolen from the Sutherland lot at their former Calkins location in March 2001. It was recovered, but I asked them to please hire a security guard, and they did...six months later! And they tried to get by on the cheap, too, by using a caompany that barely trained their guards, if at all...one guard was spending her shift *sleeping!* Goes to prove they care nothing about their employees...
