He most likely will loose his job, as for jail and marriage, they still protect their own, cops do not go to jail that often and this is a white collar crime, I doubt if he sees time. He may be corrupt, but so are all of the other cops, and they will stick together more than not. I agree his life should be turned upside down, on the mere acusation like a regular civilians would be. But he is a cop and breaking the law is no big deal for them, they usually get a slap and go home. But I also feel that the Cheif should be having his day in court as well. The cops are his responsibility and a good ruler would have his troops unfder a better control, this is typical, nobody wants to take responsibility for anything.

If you are going to comment on an article, get your facts straight so you don't look foolish.

1. He is not a cop, he is a corrections officer (works in the prison for the state). He does not report to "the Chief" but a Prison Warden.

2. Most cops are not corrupt, but those that are sure make the news because of the fact that it is their duty to uphold the law.

3. Put this man in jail and he continues to get a free ride courtesy of the tax payers.

4. This is a white collar crime, the damage is financial not physical. This man should be made to pay with his pocket book. He needs to find a new job so he can pay the money back, plus fines and penalties. He should also be required to perform community service to help those who are truely disabled.

5. Prisons are overcrowded, and we need the space for those who pose a danger to society, like child molesters, armed robbers, home invaders and rapists.

I agree with corruption...you see this kind of the thiong al the time. If it would have been a regular person not a cop it would have def. hit the fan. But because we live in a sociaty where cops do stick for each other and there all corrupted this kind of thing will desappear in a day or two...never to be heard of again

To wish for someone to lose their family makes you a sick individual. This man did not run the Boston Marathon or climb MT Everest while on comp. He walked fast for a few seconds with an egg on a spoon and heels no higher than a work boot heel. The thought of this man even going to jail for something like this is so ridiculous there are murders, rapist and child molesters out there that are REAL criminals and your going to judge this man for trying to win his children HM tickets.
GET A LIFE AND A GOOD ____ you need it!!!!!!!

Well lets start with 1.) He is not a "Cop" he is a "Corrections Officer". 2.) He doesn't have a "Chief" he has a "Warden" at the facility he is working at and 3.) If Joe Smoe had done this, it wouldn't have even made the paper. A rotten apple on the ground at the base of an apple tree doesn't mean every apple on the tree is rotten. Thanks for lumping all "Cops" together. Your entitled to your opinion, but at least know what your talking about...
