You should be glad they are doing this and getting the usage out of the facilities here in Monterey. What do you think the difference is between here and in NY City? You would be surprised to realize how small the world really is. It is broken down, up there, into about the same ratio of police to citizens, and there is very little actual difference. Surprise.

Are you aware that Law Enforcement Officers are required to have so many in-service hours per year? It just isn't a Monterey requirement. They were doing what is required and were also saving the town money by not having to travel out of town. Thanks MPD!

Yep I realize trhey are required to preform so many hours each year. But why when there are so many good place for officers to go to obtain training that they can actaully use and there is no cost to the officer or the town. There are many COunter drug training facilities that charge nothing for there EXPERT training not some crap taught by a fellow officer just so they can say they are using the building. You just gotta know where to look for the training .
confusing

How many classes under what headings are the required to complete? Should they go one at a time so that there is someone on duty and someone else ready to go on duty here? How can it NOT be more profitable for them to have the classes right here? I know it doesn't pay for the new location, but is that you're concerned about?

Do you have experience with this type of training? What do you know about it to compare it as taught "here" or in another facility. You sound like you have some knowledge of what you are speaking about.
