Well, there are people in authority that do tell stories so they can cover up the truth! I have never been told that I am delusional, if that is what you are referring to.
I really do not know much about children that do go to the actual Texas Youth Commission with a sentence there.
I saw Judges send many children to a Juvenile Detention Center, Hunt, that is NOT a place TYC sentenced kids go to, this is a detention center for kids short term stay, BEFORE, they are sentenced or released on probation or their charges are dropped.

There is a child Omar Paisley that died in a Juvenile Detention Center, he begged for days to go to get medical treatment, in Florida, and they refused to take him. He died of a burst appendix, and the nurse told him "there is nothing wrong with your ass". I wish that you people would just read about the many many children, that I have read about that have actually died in these Juvenile Detention Centers from incorrect restraints, not being able to go to seek medical treatment, and abuse, at the hands of the Juvenile Detention Centers. All of these children made mistakes, but, Jesus and God love them too, and it is really sad that they had to die the way that they died, just for doing silly things like not cleaning, talking back, etc. Is this really worth their lives. I know Texas has reformed its' TYC, and I hope that this is something that all states will do, to stop some of these deaths from the Juvenile Detention Officers that have occurred in the past, because, there are not just a few, there are many!

Do you know that I know a very successful Real Estate Agent that did go to TYC as a child, and I also know a very prominent Attorney that did go to TYC as a minor. All of these children ARE NOT BAD, one of them may be your Real Estate Agent one day, your Doctor one day, or your Attorney one day. These are children that made mistakes, and they need love, and they do have the right to be at least treated like a human being, and given water, a mattress, and food without hair and lugys and other disgusting things in what they are given to put in their mouths. I'm not sure why some of these detention officers believe they have the right to be mean, and abuse these children, but, these are also children that God and Jesus loves too. They need counseling, and I DO BELIEVE that detention officers do have a certain set of rules that the society is paying them, you know that Pay Check you detention officers receive every week, well, tax payers do pay taxes for you to take at least decent care of these children, they are not there for evil detention officers to abuse, and do not forget, they ARE NOT YOUR CHILDREN EITHER TO PUNISH THE WAY YOU WANT TO.

Something needs to be done about this law that protects these Juvenile Detention Centers and officers, where you cannot sue them unless there is another abuse case that has occurred at the facility that you are suing. It is the truth, they have these immunities, and you have to prove Deliberate Indifference, and that they did not train the officers, (who have all of these immunities, that they can get away with making alot of mistakes and not be charged with them), and then you have to prove that they acted deliberatly against your child. Which is really hard to do when you are not there, and the videos, well they are really hard to come by. Well, just put it this way, my complaint is not the only one against this facility, and if you want to see them you can write and get an opened records request from the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, and they will send you a list of complaints against any juvenile detention center, including this one. Well, you can believe it or not, but, my son was left in his cell, begging them to take him to a hospital for 6 days, now he can not longer run, and he has had multiple surgeries, and the Doctor states that he got septic because, he was not taken to the doctor in time to save his leg, but, yet they only have to take them to the doctor, whenever they feel like it, one time, and they are off the hook.

I wonder why you even care what happened to MY SON! It does not matter to me what you think, the case was not thrown out as frivolous, it is very very hard to win cases against these detention centers. The officers all have alot of immunities, and when the investigator never finds any evidence of anything wrong that his employees do, like in my case, and probably many many other complaints. Maybe you are so smart you need to read the ENTIRE LAW SUIT. I'm not wasting time on this stupid thread anymore, I am NOT lying, but, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I have better things to do than talk to MORANS on this thread.

You have better things to do than post to MORANS on this thread, apparently NOT. Its put up or SHUT UP time. Thrown out as frivolous or not means just that. There might be a case, we did read the entire lawsuit, and apparently no one is lying now--not even the appellate court's decision. Just stick with the facts and let the public decide(its a jury of peers anyway). Don't get emotional and blow the whole mess up. Keep cool and take a breath.

I think IF your child was perfectly normal when he went into a facility, and he comes out of that facility 2 weeks later almost dead, put on a life support ventilator, with pnumonia, very very dehydrated, bruises and broken bones, his body shutting down, and he has had at least 60 surgeries, and will need more, and his left leg and hip do not work properly, like they did when he went in there, you would probably be a little bit upset. Or maybe YOU would not. I do not care about what people think, but, it sure makes me made that MY adorable little child, who went in there with a perfect body is not normal anymore. You people can all be cheerleaders for Hunt County, or whatever, my child has been injured, and I just want it not to happen to another child, and my child to be given compensation for what was wrongfully done to him. I do not want this to happen to another child, I do not dislike Hunt County, I'm concerned what happened to my child, is going to happen to another child. I have no reason to prove anything to anybody reading this.

Corrections, it sure makes me mad. I'm so upset over all of this stuff, I cannot even type properly, and I do not care to argue, I am only concerned about this happening to another child.

I have personally read all existing court documents, including police reports and court filings, regarding this case. This was a little boy who was charged(not convicted) of trespassing. He was with a friend when the friend decided to open a car door. Okay, yes he was there during the commission of a minor crime. For this he was taken for 10 days of shock therapy. Basically they were going to scare him since it was his first offense. This is not a case of a child who committed rape, murder, arson or assault. People who are judging Mrs Clyce for standing up for her son and calling her a bad parent are ignorant to the facts of this case. I read the court documents! I saw the pictures of this little boy with tubes coming out of his mouth fighting for his life. Nothing he could have done while receiving "shock" therapy at this detention center warranted what he has suffered. This child went to this facility a healthy young man who loved life and left crippled, If any of you really feel that this was the punishment he deserved for opening up a car door in a parking lot, then you are truly a lost empty waste of human life. I hope God has pity on your souls. Mrs Clyce should publish the pictures of her son so you can see. I had to hold down the vomit when I saw them. I hope one day the truth comes out.

It sucks what happened to your son. You put in a post a long time ago that I must be a woman and not have any children. You are wrong on both accounts. I have worked in that facility and I know exactly what happens there. I was not there when your child was there so I dont know what happened. But I do know that your vision of the place is wrong. It is a facility that holds juveniles that have not been convicted. But it also hold the ones who has been convicted and sent to a placement or a boot camp. They fail outta of the placements or most of the time catch another charge for breaking the law. Not going to school is maybe 1% of the juveniles in there. I wish you could go and just observe for a week, you would have a total different outlook on what really happens there. And when i say there are children in there as young as 10 for rape, I am serious. He is now serving in tyc and has been there for over 3 years. Your son may not have been one of the bad ones but 95% of the ones that come in there are for FELONIES. Same crimes that any adult can do these juveniles did as well. You may not want to believe or accept it, but it is the truth. Its a very stressful and hard job. Again I am sorry for your son.
