I lived in SC for most of my life andd in 2009, my husband then threatened to kill me and then went into our bedroom, got his automatic pistol, cocked the gun at me and then preceeded outside and said he was going to kill himself. While I was on the phone to 911, they heard the shot go off. When the Horry County,SC police arrived, I told them he had dicharged the gun, wrote a suicide note which made no sense and he had been intoxicated every day for the last nine months. They asked me for permission to get the gun out of the drawer and examine it. They also dug the suicide note out of the trash and taped it back together. They then got my statement, hancuffed husband and took him into custody for a blood test for his alcohol level. I was told I needed to notify CASA which I did. I ,appeared in court for an order of protection, but the clencher is when I got to court the CASA attorney threw me under the bus. She did not defend me at all and on top of that I was put out of my home which my husband had no rights to in SC. I would like to hear from anyone in the Horry County, SC area who has been through this same thing with the HCPD, the Solitictor's office and CASA. I can tell you why SC is in the top ten in the nation for women getting killed in the state --- the state nor the county of Horry do not give a rabbit's butt what happens to you. An Horry County magistrate intervened (which by the way is a "good buddy" to my ex and this judge should have recused himself from the case. If anyone out there has experienced anything that is not right to you --- contact [email protected]

I can assure you this is not all of the story. It expands into 2011 when CASA threw me under the bus once again. This time 2011 involves PERJURY by a relative which can not prove her own statement. My husband now and I went to see Richard Todd at the Solicitor's office in Feb.,2012 and my husband asked him if the rules of evidence apply in SC? Mr. Todd and I quote stated to my husband (now), "If you're going to have that attitude, you can leave my office". My husband did not have an attitude. He just asked the question. We did not know as citizens you could not ask questions of the very people who are paid by our tax dollars anything. In November of 2011, my ex-husband attacked me in my home (I was trying to help him) and I had to fight him off of me, for I am most positive if he had gotten me on the floor, he would have really done some damage. My ex left the scene and called me twice after the attack but now he and this relative are stating and I quote his attorney, Ralph Wilson, "I contrived the attack". Mr. Wilson use to be the Solicitor but I guess when you get in private practice, your ehtics go out the window especially when you're in the big league. Funny thing though, in the book, "An Hour To Kill" which was based on the Crystal Todd murder case, Mr. Wilson made the statement and I quote, "Anybody can make allegations". Isn't it strange how ethics go down when you're in another arena of the law?

The Attorney General's office is of "no help" at all and when my husband tried to explain the situation to them yesterday, the lady he spoke with got on to him for treating her badly whcih he did not. It's funny how when you present or try to present the facts, everybody seems to get a hair crossways but I just bet if it was their family memeber, it would be a whole lot different. As far as all that jibberish on the Attorney General's page about how they combat Domestic Violence, it's just for show because my husband got shuffled around and no one seems to be able to tell you anything. If someone who could think outside the box would see all the documentation and proof, maybe something could be done but no one will listen. Like I said, watch your backs girls, they don't give a rabbit's butt about you and that's why women get killed in SC. I believe SC is second in the nation for this kind of crime. Gee, looks like you'd want to "nip it in the bud" before the killing happens.

If you look up the SC Law on anything and relay it to the proper officials, they will tell you everytime the law does not mean what it says. I am beginning to wonder what kind of law is being taught in the college system in this state and just exactly what is going on. I have a copy of RULE 407 which outlines the conduct of attorneys in this state but an attorney told my husband (in another state) that they print these conduct rules just so it will look good on paper. Wow. So it's not worth the paper it's wrote on. What a bunch of BS. So what are people suppose to do --- just sit back and let it go on. I was also told by my ex, Ricky L Livingston a few years ago " if you stir up anything, you could be KILLED by people in power in the state of SC". I have all kinds of documentation and I have always been taught it would stand up in court, but not in SC.

My ex drinks everyday of his life and Judge Mark Harris fixes things for him. I contacted the Judicial Conduct Committee (Joseph Turner) and during their investigation, a threat was made to burn my home down. Nothing was done by this committee and I have even been in contact with the Governor's office to no avail. My husband called the Attorney General's office because he was upset with how I was being treated and that office give him the run around and connected him to 3 or 4 individuals who got smart with him. The last person (the ethics committee) he talked to was not even the office we should have been talking to. OMG the people of SC better wake up.

YOU are correct in saying people can go missing. I'll explain further however in that people are often disposed of by burning down in the steel mill and dumped at sea or just dumped at sea within a body bag and weighted. Many missing persons in this area are victim to this and often times it isn't because of what they have or know. Mostly for amusement by these individuals. Rape is a common way of torturing girls before they dissapear and quite amusing for "the good olé boys" in this group. And more than once I've witnessed gladiator like matches between men for amusement by these characters. Torture by medieval means is also common place by making them suffer as much as possible before ending them to see just what they did know or have and trust me when your strapped down and able to see your own intestines you'll speak. Needless to say I'd keep my Damn mouth shut if I were you. Take the evidence and shove it up your ass or we can do it for you.
