A Phenix City mother probably never thought her 2-month-old baby was in danger when she allowed 31-year-old Sherae Reich to babysit.

Yes thank God the baby is ok but don't judge a woman and call her a monster if you don't know her. At least this woman admitted her mistakes and wanted to do what was right to make up for them. You can't say that about many people in this country. My question is if the other mother knew there was an occurance prior why would she put the baby in her care again? Sounds a little fishy.

No one knew until the baby was at the hospital getting all the test done. The drs discovered old bleeds. In my eyes you dont have to know the person. Just because she admitted to doing it makes it ok to shake and throw that baby? Yes, she is a monster. If you didnt know this also.......she tried to blame it on another child. I know the facts.

My point is murderers who won't admit they did wrong get less time. For a first offense with no permanent damage I can see some time and therapy. I never said what she did was right but don't judge lest you be judged yourself first.

funny, what if that was your daughter that was shaken and thrown? I dont think im the one that needs to be judged. God will take care of her, just as god took care of lilly. Yes sherae needs help and therapy but just because she admitted to it she should not have gotten less time. She got the max for what she was charged with. In my eyes she should have been charged with attempted murder. You dont have a clue about most of this.

If it were my child I would hope that two families can be healed. No were in any reports show the baby was thrown. We have a case of a hormonal pregnant woman losing her temper because she was babysitting too many children. My condolences to both families. That of Lilly and yes, thankfully she is ok or I would have no trouble citing your opinion on going for attempted murder. A better outcome would be not to see another family torn apart. I, unlike some, value the life and upbringing of every child and have followed this from the beginning with reports. You obviously have a biased connection personally with the child who was hurt, so I can see why you should and would be upset. I am only thinking about 5 other children who will not be together now and will be without their mother for four years. One child has already been saved but a family has also been broken and may never be put together again. I feel empathy on both sides of this battle. While I feel justice was done I also feel sorry for the other children that are now growing up without a mother.

I feel so sorry for the other children. They will be without their mother for 4 yrs, but they are young and children do forget things. Yes, unlike my daughter who got that call from sherae about lilly. Lilly was unresponsive and lifeless. Thank god she was a paramedic, and thank god she had a good partner. Like i said, you dont know all the facts about this case.
