Glaser needs to go, this guy is running around like he's some big city prosecutor spending all this money like he's landed the OJ case or something. You can't tell me there isn't one psych dr or head shrinker in in the DFW metroplex that could have drove up here and done the same job for less. How about more due diligence and slam the case in the guys face and get a confession or plea deal and save the the tax payers money, but then you wouldn't be on TV would you.

Nah- think of all the money he saved the county by not having the expert witness show up in court.

The expert witness didn't show up because there isn't a drive-through on the SOUTH side of the courthouse......

Complete waste of money. If Glaser couldn't get a guilty out of that guy without an expert witness called in, I'm not sure he needs to be prosecuting anyone.

I think the defense attorney is partially to blame for the bill too. He is the one who filed something just recently that said they were going to try to plea insanity. According to a KXII article, that left the DA scrambling to find a witness that could dispute that claim. Once the trial happened, the defense attorney did not actually use that defense. If he wasn't going to use the insanity defense, he shouldn't have said he was because that made the DA have to prep for it.

The Judge and Commissioners Court are breaking the law everyday. At least Glaser isn't breaking the law.

At least he isn't breaking the law? We are discussing the pissing away of $25,000 of taxpayers money for nothing. Who in the hell is this expert witness anyway? Let's get their name and see if a local news outlet can get an interview with them and see if they can justify that bill.

Did you see what's coming up in October? DA Glaser needs a forensic pathologist for another trial, that's going to be several thousand dollars, too. If he gets a guilty plea out of this upcoming trial then the presiding judge should pass that cost along to the defendant to repay the county.
