He didn't "exactly" get away with it but his hired shyster pleabargained his scrawny white butt and got the following for him as reported in the Danville newspaper. Oh for the days of pillories and dunkings and EYE FOR AN EYE I still want to see this guy left out in the elements and starving and no water and left for the rodents and insects to feast on him.$750 is lunch money to this waste of oxygen. Here's the newspaper story:
HARRODSBURG — A Mercer County man charged with 14 counts of cruelty to animals had his jail sentence probated after pleading guilty to mistreating horses on his Curry Pike farm.
Last week, Mercer District Judge Jeff Dotson sentenced James Pease to 182 days in jail and then probated the sentence for two years. The 14 counts were merged together into a single charge as part of a plea arrangement.
Pease, 73, was charged in June after Mercer animal control officer David Quinn filed a criminal complaint alleging the horses had to be removed from Pease’s property because they were not being fed. As part of his sentence, Pease was ordered to pay $750 to Mercer Fiscal Court to benefit animal care in the county and not own or care for any horses during his probation.

If he isn't supposed to own any horses during his probation, then why did I see two saddlebreds on his farm on Curry Pike day before yesterday when I drove by?

The sad thing is, the horse I adopted was registered as belonging to Les and his wife, Barbara. Barbara should have been prosecuted also.

Him not owning any horses....huh....his wife can still own them so he will still be around the horses.

May not have seen them, but have been in contact with Mercer County DA, KHC ASHA and SBR as well as folks treating the horse in question. So, while I respect that you have been there, there are other legitimate sources of information. You are not the sole fountain of knowledge.

Why not put Pease, Lancaster and Michael Vick in a closed sealed room for about 30 days.

What would be left would be a BEAUTIFUL thing.

You need to attempt English as a primary language.

Reading for comprehension would also be useful.

I have discussed the horses. Nobody got paid to attempt to open your eyes. I am not sure the investment would have borne fruit, in any event.

AND ADD ASB STARS TO THAT MIX.

Stars, you are the rudest most imbecilic excuse for a ghettobilly I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. You are the most disgusting subhuman piece of undigested nutrient and I suggest you go somewhere and fall on your sword and stop wasting oxygen needed by decent people on this planet - you DO NOT qualify.
