District Attorney Don Anderson: Setting the Record Straight

Aug 30, 2011 Full story: www.record-bee.com 60

By Don Anderson Lake County District Attorney For the past several months Sheriff Francisco Rivero has taken on a campaign of criticizing and slandering the District Attorney's Office and myself. I have remained silent to these comments from the Sheriff as I feel it does not benefit either of our offices or the fight for public safety. However, he has recently started slandering individual members of my office with falsehoods and misrepresentations. This is not acceptable for any elected official, especially one who should be a partner in law enforcement. The Sheriff has publicly made statements that I am left of the American Civil Liberties Union and a member of the American Communist Party, neither of which is true. He quoted me as saying I intend on putting him in jail for the rest of his life, a statement never made publicly or privately. Sheriff Rivero has said I am soft of criminals and I put outlaw motorcycle gangs above the interest of citizens. I will do everything legally possible to provide for public safety, but let there be no misunderstanding, I have taken an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, and will honor that oath. I never have, and will not make personal attacks on the Sheriff. Using my position to do so is not in the best interest of the community or the administration of justice. Additionally, to try and humiliate anyone in public is against my upbringing. Recently, Sheriff Rivero has publicly attacked my criminal investigators in order to

We've all been wondering where Clint Fitzgerald and his brand of hatred might surface. Now we know. So Mr. DA for now, what about the federal case against the former sheriff, DA and numerous other officers?

Setting the record straight?

Rights of citizens in Lake County are being compromised such as giving the US marshals placed on tribal land by the government power outside of the reservation. The abuses of these US marshals is known by many in the community. Now Don Anderson wants to help them expand their abuse of power.

We all need to become aware of the power struggle and the corruption that is happening with the casinos and the bribes and the violence that Don Anderson is catering to!

I suspect that Don Anderson is owned by the casinos, bought and paid for to protect the interests of those who threw out many tribal members including the only Pomo tribal member that knew the Pomo language to increase their cut of a pie that Don Anderson is also nibbling on.

Interesting.
Was Don at frank's big victory celebration at the casino?
This sounds like another political ruse to cover the truth.
Accuse the "other" guy of being corrupt, while in fact, you are the one on the take.
Or is it that both sides are dirty?
It looks like Lake County citizens may have jumped from the frying pan into the fire in the last election.
Meet the new mob.....same as the old mob.

Do tell?
Then you need to enlighten the rest of the county, because there are not very many "new mob" believers left.
or....is it a big secret that only you and the "insiders" can know about?

Same ole sheeit.

Bismarck Dinius and his attorneys are suing the County of Lake, the Lake County Sheriff's Office, and thirty-four county employees (in their individual and official capacities) Jon Hopkins, Rodney Mitchell, Russell Perdock, Dennis Ostini, Lloyd Wells, C. Brown, Captain James Bauman, James Samples, Wesley Frey, Dean Pick, Andy Davidson plus one Sacramento County Sheriff's Dept. Sgt. Charles Slabaugh. Attorney Laurence Masson alleges that the County's conduct was “unconstitutional and corrupt” following the incident and throughout the court proceedings, accusing the employees of “conspiring” or “aiding and abetting one another” to conceal and fabricate evidence and defraud the court in order to prosecute Dinius for a “homicide that he did not commit”. Masson argues that this is not only constitutes malicious prosecution but is also a violation of Dinius's civil rights as granted by Title 42 section 1983 of the United States Code.
All defendants are charged with Violation of Federal Civil Rights Statute (42 U.S.C.§1983), Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress, and Punitive Damages. Defendants Perdock and Slabaugh are charged with Malicious Prosecution and D.A. Hopkins is charged with libel. The lawsuit was filed at the U.S. District Court in San Francisco with the assistance of Northern California Innocence Project, based out of Santa Clara. The case number is CV 103498.

Just what is going on? Those two claim to be professionals they should behave like they should. If they do not they should be removed as soon as possible.

We got rid of Hopkins and Mitchell because they thought they were above the law. Now here comes Anderson with his brand of Just Us. Tell us Don who have you convicted since taking office compared to the number of lawsuits against our sheriff?

Frank is that you? You asked for the job, now, put your big girl panties on and deal with ALL of the problems associated with shooting from the hip.

It is becoming painfully clear who was, or was not ready and qualified to take office.

Concentrate Dad and quit trying to tell me what I said in your distorted versions.

A judge looked at the "case" and found Rivero was doing his job properly.

You're talking about the killing of a tourist and the railroading of an innocent man by 34 Lake County "public servants", yes? That investigation is still very much underway.

Accessory:a person who knowing that a crime has been committed aids or shelters the offender with intent to defeat justice —called also accessory after the fact

no, I wasn't talking about ancient history, I was talking about current public servants who have "shot from the hip" and went into action without following protocol.
Are you bipolar or what?

Nah, more likely that you are simply an agenda driven whacko.
