Chicago attorney Kevin Flynn, who is representing Walsh in the One World matter, said he had not yet reviewed the government's criminal complaint, but added, "I don't believe Mr. Walsh will admit guilt of any criminal conduct."

Commodities of any stripe are traded by brokers of your acquaintance. Don't do the yellow pages when looking for a commodities broker.

Just saying.

Goodbye Mr. Martinez. Thank you for playing. Good luck selling that nice home to pay for your legal team.

Now the money goes to lawyers, who recycle it to new money handlers. It's the circle-jerk theory of economics.

Aha, someone else who knows who him as the article doesn't mention that he's also known as Charles Martinez. Trib writer: if you feel like doing some more homework, check out his registration (of lack thereof.) His license was pulled in 2002 for a felony cocaine possession conviction in 1997. Also guilty of retail theft in 2002. He hasn't been a futures broker since 2002.

Just in the (legitimate) futures industry and know how to check on someone's background. Due diligence is in short supply these days.

Typical Winnetka types. I mean, you can tell they are crooks from their zip code.

Could someone please clone Mr. Patrick Fitzgerald?
There is just too much work for this man to do to clean up this state.

I remember seeing him driving around Winnetka in all types of fancy cars. I remember 2 different Bentleys and a Ferrari F430.

I also knew both men, and you all should really have some pity that both were even sad enough to attempt this. And I am not saying they don't deserve punishment because they do.

It's not their fault that you're a poor investor. That is, unless they specifically screwed you over.

Another example of white on white crime.
I often read the comment sections racists' remarks toward the African American community, especially the Chicago southside.
I have a question to my white brothers (yes, I am white too) that make those remarks
The type of crimes decribed in this article are the fastest growing crimes in America. Since the guys like Walsh assumedly grew up in the comfort of middleclass or better white America, how do you explain it?

finally, some sort of justice! hey is there any way i could get a certain percentage of my money back? i don't know why the hearings for one world take so long. i work hard to save up money so i can invest in something to make it grow. that's not easy to do in a third world country. not fair these bozos can do whatever they want with it and. Hurray for the criminal case! I hope Walsh and Martin rot in jail! AAARRRrrrrgggHHHH!!!!

These bastards will rot in a Federal facility for at least 7 years. Both Martin and Walsh are scumbags that use the 3 D defense of all Ponzi schemes- Deny, Delay, Defelect. People were warned about these scumbags way before they went on a coke and whore spree which ended in December 2007. I am sure that there will be "other" charges of wire fraud pending as they had both NY and Chicago offices. This money is long gone. The only moral victory is that hopefully Walsh will die in prision and Martin a.k.a. Martinez will be gang raped daily....

If you invested your "hard-earned pay" with this or any other fly-by-night operation, your money wasn't THAT hard-earned.

Greed has more to do with this kind of firm's appeal than any amount of cleverness on their part.

Know where you're putting your money and risk only that which you would, otherwise, bet in Vegas.
