Interesting. One of only two US companies, eh? This is the company that allowed its cooling towers to collapse due to neglect. It's allowed the plant to have three leaks, two of which were radioactive, on the opening day of the legislative session. It "forgot" to install equipment to monitor radiation. It said that they don't have underground pipes that leak like those at Oyster Creek, when they have underground pipes that leak. They have had their control room operator test positive for marijuana. They have had a couple of people, including the head of substance abuse, blow a breathalizer. They dropped the dry cask unit on their first try; luckily it was only 4" and not 40'. They lost a hot, spent rod.
And this gains them safety recognition from the Dow? You don't suppose it has anything to do with the fact that they are making tens of millions of dollars by any chance now do you? |

Brace yourself, What-Me-Worry, here come all the Entergy enforcers to SHOUT YOU DOWN!
Meanwhile, the thing to know about a Dow Jones rating is that the Dow deals with investments, and therefore recognizes companies that reward shareholders. That fits with what area residents and some employees have been saying all along - that Entergy skimps on staff, maintenance, and the decommissioning fund in order to squeeze out higher short-term profits for shareholders. It also fits with the spin-off of its plants to a front company to shield its shareholders from any liability. |

You have made a lot of statements here. How about we begin with you naming the companies in Southern VT who have a better compensation package than Entergy Nuclear VT Yankee's? |
The Tellman Knudson company.

Dow Jones is not an environmental monitoring entity. They analyze profitability.
And Mustard: You could also make good money selling crack. A "compensation package" is not the only basis for judging a corporation. Fairpoint has a great "compensation package" too and they are a disaster. |
Just responding to NCW false statements. Mike I don't know the company, do you have a site I could check out? |
Google is your friend. |
Tellman Knudson the man being investigated for fraud? Get real Mike. |
Mike hasn't been *near* reality in years. |
And if I were to sell crack, would you have a problem with that too? |
Ain't that the truth, well the typical consumer and advertisement reality I certainly ain't mainstream. |
