He should have used the newspaper space to tell us about HIS MISTAKES instead of justfying his wife's income.

It's posts like this that convince me that the MORONS in this state will probably re-elect this corrupt low-life
You just KNOW we will. In fact, it's damn near inevitable.

Hmm, let me see. Jackie gets $500K per year for attending maybe 25-30 board and audit committee meetings a year -- about $20,000 per meeting. Nice work if you can get it. I wonder how many other former $125,000-a-year Export-Import Bank employees are currently knocking down that kind of $$$ from their board memberships. Could you name just one, Chris? If you can I promise I'll vote for your re-election.

"open and honest"?

Does the English language have meaning?

Granted, the Republicans have a partisan motive in drawing attention to this situation. But that does not disprove the truth of what is said.

The only legitimate defense that Dodd can advance is: "Hey, we all do it."

It used to be the idea that the government was the servant of the people. Whether or not it ever was true, it certainly no longer is.

Senator Dodd is a clueless baffoon who robbed and plundered the taxpayers by sucking up to AIG and Countrywide by getting special treatment and now he wants to cry he and his wife are the victim.

The solution is simple Dodd should resign and let Rell appoint a Republican to fill out his term and gain incumbency.

Dodd must go and we must keep the anti war dregs and Ned Lamont at bay along with CCAG, Ken Krayeske and all the other slime that wants to destroy Connecticut.

If she was smart enough to work for a Republican then why did she marry a useless Democrat.

There is no other reason to be a senator for so long, other than being able to skim the cream for your family

If Dodds' lips are moving he is lying. A crook is a crook is a crook. He saved on his mortgage and cost the taxpayers billions. Telling us about the fine job his wife does is also nothing more than justifying his self indulgent needs.

If our attorney general wasn't in on this Dodd would be in jail.

If Obama stays in office for 8-years, won't the statute of limitations run out on everything I've done?

I'm kind of counting on that.

What a large dollop of pomposity!

Dodd was not above not only using his wife but his kids when he made his showboat move to Iowa.

You are a disgrace, Dodd. Don't even pretend you have the moral high ground or the people of Connecticut on your side. You were instrumental in destroying our country's financial system by causing Fannie and Freddie to give money away for mortgages to people who don't deserve them. Be a man. Admit your failure and resign. Otherwise, "the poeple of Connecticut" are going to come after you with pitchforks and not with votes.

The AIG executives must be laughing all the way to the bank when they read the Senator's article. Their company lost billions of dollars in shareholder money but thanks to the senator, the execs walked away with gigantic bonuses. Thank you Mr. Chairman of the Banking Committee.

She's had no clients "since the birth of their second child." That was over 4 years ago. Just what has her company Clegg International Consultants been doing since then? And if he's trying to suggest that she was being a "stay-at-home mom" (a worthy pursuit) and that justifies the lack of clientele, then how did she find the time to sit on 5 corporate boards during that same period, making over $500K a year? Pick one, Chris.
