If he used a firearm and robbed someone, then he should spend some time in jail. But, 16 years and 5 months is excessive punishment

The two posters need to do a bit of research on the subject. The robber tired to run over a deputy sheriff, led police on a high speed chase where shots were fired at police before he was caught. This all happened after he committed armed robbery, so morons, 16 years is not too much.

as soon as he gets taken to Richmond at powhatan receiving he will realize that he made the worst mistake of his life.and 16years is not bad compared to some sentences I have seen in the d.o.c. for armed robbery,i have seen 50 years .hes lucky.if he just didn't take the gun with him he wouldn't have got 5.

Everybody that grew up there had a rough life. Eveeryone that grew up in the Bronx has a hard life. Everyone that grew up in Harlem had a hard life. I am so sick of hearing that someone that made a huge mistake did it because they had a hard life. I guess the guy that just killed those 9 people in SChad a hard life too. Give me a break cause I have had a hard life!!!!!bs people who do these crimes are CRIMINALS period. We all have a choice to do the right or wrong thing and even if he was talked into it he still put a gun in someones face an robbed them. What if he had done it to say your dad, mom, brother or sister. would he still be a good guy?
