Say what you want about County Controller Mary Schaff, it was good to see her take an interest in what was going on down the hall at the recorder of deeds office. In contrast, the former controller (Sue Weber) spent the majority of her time in the Millcreek Municipal building trying to settle scores with political foes.

Maybe Ed Palatella will win a Pulitzer Prize for his investigative reporting. Then a book deal and a movie. Woodward Bernstein and Palatella. Oh yeah.

So someone took a small amount of money, got caught, fired, and charged. Sounds like old Ed wants to tar everyone at the courthouse for the actions of one person.

Meanwhile, Joe Sinnott and his thugs are still off limits.

Anyone know if this person is related to local Erie running legend Barb Filutze or Erie City Police officer Geoff Filutze?

I found it interesting that there was no accountability for the cash. Would you have felt better if she stole the $150,000?

There is accountability for the cash. That's why the person was caught and fired. There is no story.

E P is just another ETN yellow "journalist".

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Pisces

It's a big change today after yesterday's combustible atmosphere and you're feeling more relaxed and understanding. You're even prepared to forgive someone for what you thought yesterday was a heinous crime, and ready to give them a second chance. However, let's hope that this person deserves your goodwill and is grateful to receive it.
