When I asked my father if he had a metal-on-metal hip replacement, he said, "Yeah, I probably have had one of those." After four hip replacements , it goes without saying that he has probably had most materials that hip replacements are made of in his body.

The FDA should have thought of this years ago or before they allowed these metal-on-metal hip implants in the market. This type of hip implant caused serious complications to its recipients based on reports. Some of its complications are inflammation, pain, and metallosis. Metallosis is considered dangerous as it will leak into the bloodstream of those affected.
