Good move. This can also be used later in a court challenge as evidence of Dumler's inability to function fully in his position (along with losing weekends to hold townhalls, do reading/research, etc.).

If they block him from doing his job, he may have the legal grounds for a legal action. They had better tread lightly and by the book. Hopefully, he will announce that he intends to resign just in time for a November election and to the disappointment of those who want to use his departure to their political advantage.

Are you, Amanda? Say, back when the BoS was 4-2 Democratic, the four Dems had voted to "strip" Ken Boyd (the sole Republican) of all his committee assignments, then said he was "neglectful" in doing his job. Do you honestly think that would stand up in a court of law as the basis for a recall petition?

Where'd you get your law degree from again? Bob Jones U?

You just don't get it, do you? He's not worthy of the trust that Albemarle County citizens place in their Board. He's not worthy of that hapless girlfriend who seems willing to drive him to and fro of prison. He's simply not worthy. But, I'm betting you, he's hoping he can continue to stonewall and we'll all move on to another equally pathetic topic. We cannot let this happen. We deserve more and he deserves nothing less than our contempt.

Alternatively, Dumler could just resign and serve the people of Scottsville, and Albemarle as a whole, as he promised. His political career is toast after this atrocity.

Ain't no judge tossing this guy because the Board messes with his mojo.

That Board needs to watch their own backside... they just might need his vote one day.

and thats a crock about him not being "worthy of the trust" ain't a member on that board thats worthy of trust... hell, they all just proved it by keeping thier mouth shut until the wind changed and then ran for cover or started looking to play the angles.

Do you always judge people by the way the media wants to portray them? If so, your brain must be the size of a peanut.

Rarely do I judge people by their media portrayal. In this case, it's fairly easy to judge the individual by their admitted actions. Simple.

Let us be perfectly clear... the biggest distraction at BOS meetings is not Dumler... it's that lifeless hairpiece that Dennis Rooker wears.

If he had any decency -- he would step down. But he does not. He is selfish, believes himself to be above the law, and he's a diva, and is probably eating all of this attention up.

If I say I take people at their own valuation, that means he is a sexual batterer, because he admitted to that in court. That has nothing to do with the media. The sooner he is out of the public eye, the better - for his community and for him - not to mention his victims.
