All child protection advocates agree that the Church is one of the highest organized gropups that molest your children. DO NOT TRUST PREACHERS,TEACHERS, CHURCH PERSONNEL, SCOUT LEADERS or any organization or individual that claims to have your child's safety and best interest at heart. These professions have and harbour the largest percentage of perverts and the administrations of schools and churches just move the molesters around so that the victims and public think they are doing something about the problem.
Beware your preacher or Sunday school teacher just may be having fun bouncing your little angel on his / her knee while doing "GOD's WORK".

We pulled our kids for CrossRoad two years agoe because my wife and I believed that Bowman was the wrong principal for the school.
The prior principal wass equally un-qualified.

Dr. Bowman never did anything remotely close to molesting anyone at my school, Trinity Christian, where he was my principal from 6th to 8th grade. I wonder, if you have children in high school, does is bother you that the principal and teachers at that school are more likely than not watching pornography with girls that are high school age? I just graduated from one of the best public high schools in the country's richest county two years ago, and you would be surprised to know how many teachers engage in sexual relationships with their students. If you are married, can you confidently say that your husband doesn't look at porn? What happened? Where did we go wrong? As a community, as a country, as parents, as children? Don't scapegoat this man, there is a huge plank in the eye of American culture. This country, and my generation especially, has been taught by Hollywood and pop culture that watching porn is acceptable, that it's just innocent fun for adolescent guys. Well, this is the sort of thing that porn leads to. It ruins relationships, but mostly it just ruins people. Before you rant and rave about Robert Bowman, make sure that you protect your children from the disease that pornography is. Make sure you consider whether or not casual sex is really ok. Make sure that you know how you feel about our condom culture. Is sex supposed to be this commercialized? Should it really be available everywhere we look? Should it be used to sell soda and CDs? What would marriages look like in this country if sex was something that a husband and wife could share intimately and sacredly with each other? Why is that instead comedians joke about how awful it is to have to have sex with just one other person for the rest of your life? As a 20 year kid, why do most of my friends watch porn? Why, out of my group of 10 high school friends, have most of them had sex with each other? Don't leave Dr. Bowman in the big house without examining what you have control over. I wonder, what will pornography and casual sex do to my generation? What will it mean for your kids?

Uh...before everyone gets ugly and lights the torches and goes on a witch hunt - remember that no charges have actually yet been filed against this man, right? Use your brains people - If they had a solid slam door case, they'd have immediately filed charges! On the other hand, If this is some ugly frame-up arranged by disgruntled people who hate a man who preaches (or by former students whom he cracked down on for their own involvement in porn at school, for example) well, it wouldn't be the first time someone tried to destroy an authority figure by such an act, now would it! Look, before you put on your witch-hunting clothes, engage your brains. All it takes is one clever, disgruntled computer-hacking student to use a key-logger hacking tool to steal his password, or slip a virus onto his laptop computer while he has it at school, or just visit some filthy site while he was out of his office for five minutes with his computer still logged on in his name and voila! He's a pervert! Then the witch hunters come out and before trial, before evidence, before charges...forget the LAW - HE'S GUILTY!
Come on, he's 62 years old. You think he's so computer saavy that he even thinks this kind of stuff?
So, to those of you who are posting ugly comments about a man who hasn't even been CHARGED yet, and about whom there isn't even a shred of evidence that he has EVER molested anyone in his entire life - you need to be just a little more circumspect in your comments. Let the law run its course. If he's a porn addict, it will be VERY obvious from his computer, because addiction to porn is insidious. There will be hours and hours of trackable offenses. If they find evidence of willful, egregious sexual abuse or child porn. it'll come out...it has to, because it will be an obvious recognizable pattern of behavior. Until then - Friends, this is America, and he is still innocent until proven guilty. Remember what happened to Pete Townsend, the singer for the Who. A few years ago, he was busted for "child porn" in England -(In the U.K., you're guilty until proven innocent, by the way!) the truth eventually came out that he was researching a book he was writing on the topic (and he's no right-winger either, he's openly homosexual, and a self-admitted victim of childhood sexual abuse. He received no "free pass" from the establishment or the Church, o.k?) Anyway, he was busted - it took him years to clear his name. But it finally came out that he was innocent. He REALLY was just writing a book.
So, unless someone has appointed you magistrates, I suggest that everyone just hold your ugly comments and let the law do its work, o.k?

I was in 6th grade when Dr. Bowman came to Trinity, and I am happy I got out of there. I am sad, to be honest, that we ever hired such a man. Many cases regarding child pornography involve offenders who perpetually buy this filth. I'm not so happy I had a pervert as a headmaster, and I expect Trinity to conduct full investigations as to whether or not any children at their school have been solicited in the past. Defending him is both stupid and useless; he is a pedophile. All I can say now is that I'm glad he is caught, and there's one less pervert that uses Christianity as a guise to harm innocent kids.

To “former student” who tried to make an excuse for Dr. Bowman: don’t. What he did was and is wrong. There is no excuse for it. But the Christian God is a big God and Dr. Bowman’s sin is certainly not beyond the reach of Jesus Christ.
.
To “Concerned parent”: fuck you. Dr. Bowman is a good man. He is flawed, but then again, so am I. So are you. For sure, child pornography is perverted- but it’s a big leap to assume that Dr. Bowman was physically hurting and abusing children. It takes sick thoughts and moments of weakness for the first to happen. It takes an evil man for the latter to happen. I do not believe Dr. Bowman is not an evil man.

id like to say you all are a bunch of dumb ass fucks yea child pornography is wrong, but doesnt make him a bad teacher and it doesnt mean he has ever touched a child. See O I SENT MY KID TO THAT SCHOOL. If you did it cause your a christian you should be ashamed of yourself. I went to school and he was my teacher for a few years in VA but not once did he do anything wrong awesome teacher in fact. And he did his best to make sure your kids learned the best they did and im glad i learned under him not a single second i think that i shouldnt have. you parents should be ashamed of yourself practically teaching your kids to judge others which the Bible says not to. we are all bad people no exceptions so go fuck off and why dont you go troll somewhere else.

GIVE PARENTS A BREAK. This man was proven to posses child porn, he should never be allowed to step foot in or near a school, he should never be allowed to step foot near the child care area of a church, he should be supervised at all times if he ever enters a church where children are present.
Yes, God can forgive a sincere heart, but he must turn...
This Imperfect person IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS. PARENTS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO LOSE SLEEP WONDERING WHAT THIS CREEP IS THINKING ABOUT KIDS. Get a clue.

We as grownups must first protect the innocent children rather than the people who buy CHILD PORN... I doubt he would have been arrested if it was 17 year olds this man was looking at young innocent kids and he is dangerous. Who cares if he is "nice" ... most of the molestors are "nice" they offer candy, puppies, all kinds of "nice" things like free babysitting.

WAKE UP PEOPLE and stop protecting this type of person. If he admits he looked at it and was ever a Christian, he should gladly recuse himself from ever talking to a child ever again for any reason.

Im late to this party but i went to trinity from kindergarden to 6th grade when he was at trinity and he always had something about him, some look in his eye that said the there was something more. Every morning he'd role up in his mid-1990's Jag wearing his cheap suit and red tie smiling but there was just something different.
