RAPIST GOES FREE

RAPIST GOES FREE??

RAPIST GOES FREE??

REALLY??!!

WHO ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT BUTTE COUNTY?

Our legal system here is completely for sell. If you have the money, you can get away with anything. Just make sure daddy is protected (like little miss Ramsey), or a lawyer.

As for the 50 letter writing supporters, I hope it's you or your daughter, or your wife or your mother that gets raped next. Then you'll know how my family feels. POS

So being drunk is a valid excuse for trying to rape someone. Did the booze make him lie about it too? To the victim: I'm outraged by this sentencing. You suffered enough at the hand of this preadator already. I do not believe justice was served at all. You are further victimized by this "sentence." To the wife. It's my opinion that you are an enabler. Can't you do better? What will it be like for you now sleeping with your husband? I bet you'll think of what he's done everytime he touches you. Women like you(and Hillary Clinton) are part of the problem why so many men treat women like sex objects. Sickening!!

At least this one has to register as a sex offender. Moral of the story? He should have raped a high school girl.

Who cares if this POS had a prior record or not? Every criminal has to start somewhere. How dare those 50 people write letters in support of his receiving a lighter sentence? BC Voter...you're right. What if this had been one of their female family members? I don't care how "wonderful" this scumbag is otherwise...he obviously has a dark side that reared it's ugly head and caused considerable trauma for an innocent young woman. I hope karma bites him in the ass big time to make up for where the legal system has failed. Filthy rapist.

What the hell does being drunk have to do with it? Getting drunk doesn't make a normal person try to rape someone!

The jerk being the judge or the rapist, because I can't tell the difference. In my book the judge just raped the victim as well.

And what the hell is "burglary with intent to commit digital penetration"? That doesn't even make sense. Let's see, he wants to break into this place and take the silver and maybe some jewelry, and if there happens to be a woman inside, he'll stick his finger in her. Brilliant.
Plus, the idea that someone that warped is at "low risk" for re-offending is absurd. He needs GPS 24/7.
Is it too late to bring back the penal colony?

Maybe he should have tried to burn down an antique store in Chico's oh-so-precious "downtown."

At least you seen to go to jail for THAT and NOT FOR RAPE!!

Typical Butt County - always circulates around WHO YOU KNOW or WHO YOU ARE.

Typical results. The current state of this society is making me sad. Two major flaws; Lack of respect and responsibility. People do not respect others and they do not take responsibility for their actions anymore. The losers are the victims and the disrespected advocates that try to help them. They are left with lies, manipulations and selected reporting. I am truly sorry for the victim in this case as she is on life probation not the 5 years the perp received. She will always have to deal with the memory of his attack. This idiot made up several excuses (hoping one would stick) to try to get out of the responsibility for his actions. Total disrespect for the victim, the system and society. Why is it that some only see the impact when they themselves or a family member is victimized but can never empathize with others? I hope he and his supporters get theirs in the end.

He is his son. Dennis Hoptowit is head of the Public Defenders for Butte County. Dennis is the same man who doesn't return phone calls from people who are offering up evidence that his client(s) is(are) innocent. Instead, Dennis throws them under the bus so he doesn't have to spend his time and money on his clients. God help the person that has him for an attorney. He almost put an innocent man in prison.

What a tragic and ugly JOKE! So this man is the son of a lawyer! All the considerations were about him and his rash of support. What about the girl? What consideration does she get? What sentence did she want? No, she doesn't matter. This is the kind of garbage that turns people against the system. This is a sick sick injustice.

Wonder how much was paid to see this "visiting" judge. You can get almost anything today with $$$$$. This man should be in prison. Makes me sick.
All this B.S. from 50 supporting people, come on, wake up, pull your head from daddy's rear.

A retired Sonoma County judge should stay retired and forced into an old folks home. How many people knew this creep would get off because of his daddy?

Five years probation is just a slap on the pee pee.
I hope this young woman has the chance to stomp on his balls.
