Sure do miss this girl. It's not like her at all to just up and leave. Wish someone would just come forward and tell the truth. It's been long enough.

I have always felt that the girl's parents acted funny about all this. They refuse to give dna that could help with the case.I've also heard they don't talk much or are evasive when they do talk.I'm not saying they're guilty of anything but if I were a cop I'd take a hard hard look in that direction.

I use to go to church with one of Erin's family members. Can't remember if it was her aunt, but she was very sad. We prayed for the safe return of the two for a long time. I find it baffling that they're still missing. But, if it's true in this case as in others (ex. - Terry Sullivan), then the best two places to get away with murder are NYC and Sparta, TN. :(

it is amazing how they just up and disappeared and NOTHING has been found, no one is THAT good...if they have been murdered, there has to be SOMETHING somewhere, left undone...they just are not looking hard enough...no kids, no car, no nothing....something is not right, and if they had ran away and they would be grown by now, their ssn would show up when they try to get a job, something

Something's fishy about the whole thing.

About a year after they disappeared the area had a drought and the drug helicopter was hired to fly all over the county to see if any water had sunk low enough to reveal anything and it didn't.

Words straight from the mouth of g.b. "it's hard to find a body when it's buried 2 foot above another one" as in he/she had been buried in a recently made grave for someone else.

When I was in grade school probably 9 or 10 I told that line to GB. I was always obsessed with the fact people could just disappear. I would read books about missing people and crime non fiction. It was a quote that stuck out in my mind. I used it often and well I still do. Its very crafty and has been used at least once to hide a murder victim . I have often said it in regards to this case. In this small of a town it would not be hard to find a record of recent graves of that time. Not many people die around here at one time. Also, the grave would have to be remote where two cars would not be seen. Plus you have to have time to dig. Not to mention it would have to be perfect for no one to notice the ground disturbed. I do not know about you, but if i went to a grave site and thought someone or thing had been digging I would be livid. This case is always on my mind. I don't know why. It is always there and I guess always will. I have put a lot of thought into the whole buried in someones grave. I have also wondered about graveyards near Cain Hollow. Mostly because that would be the perfect place to dump a car. My other thoughts on the car is that it could be somewhere in plain sight. I have always thought that when this case is solved they would be found just under everyone's nose. The one other case around here that bothered me all the time was solved that way. A missing woman was found a few feet away from her home in a barrel I think. They had searched the property many times and found nothing until her boyfriend/husband confessed. I have always wondered how they could have been so close to her and did not find her, not even the dogs. Anyways sorry. I still get so upset over missing persons. My heart breaks for these families. I know if it bothers me this bad it must be unbearable for them.

The reason the woman in the barrel wasn't found so soon is simple, incompetence, and shoddy investigation by police...I would suspect the same holds true in the case of those tho missing young people...

I too have wondered about this case. Has the T.B.I. actually been or have ever came into the county and investigated? Maybe this newspaper story will get someones attention. Over these 12 years I am sure circumstances have changed for whoever has ties to this dissapperance.Lots of old cases have been solved by those means.Divorces, deaths, financia l situations, etc.

There have been several supposed sightings of Erin in Florida.Mostly in the pan handle around Pensacola. One retired police officer is certain it was her.

Also, about the car...how many cars have been crushed and hauled out of town? Didn't gb have a friend who had a junk yard?
