Wasn’t this whole shut down / no extension of the debt limit by the tea-baggers supposed to be about ending OBAMACARE? And now Boehner is begging the President to save them from themselves… so now they are changing it to be about other issues, and then just a clean extension so they can reset their failed strategy, LOL…

Those polls sure did help them, didn’t they, LOL!

Just curious, how long must this go on? It's like the fast automobile needs a tune up overhaul or a new design new automobile, this model is just not running smoothly at all and may actually conk out dead on a remote deserted road.

It should go on until Obama takes the debt seriously.
.
The House should start by cutting off all funds for fuel for Air Force 1.
.
Obama can do his strut and smirk in the White House. The side benefit will be CO2 reduction, which should make Al Gore happy.

Would you remind our ***FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT*** that open air parks are the property of the American people and that Obama should be working to keep them open instead of chasing them out as to serve his and the Democrats political purposes?

The House has provided funding to keep the parks open. Harry Reid and Barack Obama said "no". They have made it a point to make the shut downs as annoying as possible.
.
Maybe Americans might remind Obama and the Democrats, the parks belong to America, not to them.

That gives meaning to the word downtrodden isn't it? Always the lower class gets the ax and the upper class gets to make their roaring rally.

Take the debt seriously??? No one in Washington takes the debt seriously. The GOP has adamantly refused to allow even token taxes on large corporations, and the rich pay almost nothing. The GOP is still talking about lowering taxes (less than zero) for most wealthy. They give tax rebates to the very very rich, and then complain the other side doesn't take the debt seriously? That is a joke.

If the GOP were serious about the debt, they would not let corporation after corporation with billions perhaps trillions in profits pay nothing to use the infrastructure. Those who work have to pay, why let the freeloaders off the hook?

It appears you have forgotten the Republicans already raised income taxes as part of a deal with Obama.

Who ever heard of such a thing, this bogus president is such a freak and will down in history that way.

Imagine your local part that anyone can walk up to being shut down by the government while spending money and effort to do so...... what a brat...holding the country hostage. He is acting like a terrorist.

I think along with a reduction of pensions for able bodied ex-military. With people living longer, there is no reason to allow this cost to continue to rise.
.
The tax increases should be tailored to Obama's 2 biggest supporters, Wall Street and Silicon Valley and the rate should be 70% with no deductions. Obama said why do you need all that money so since those folks supported him, let them pay up.
.
I can hear the howling from California and New York now.

at least Boehner is trying whereas the dictator refuses to negotiate only because he never cared about this country and it's citizens AND NEVER WILL! HOW CAN HE CARE? A CITIZEN OF KENYA? HE IS DOING A GREAT JOB OF TRYING TO DESTROY US. Thanks to Boehner who refuses to give in to the dick's whims and whines.

Good luck trying to cut military pensions.

Taxes will be based on income as they always have.

Obama had no problem stopping VA funding.
.
Military pensions will have to be dealt with after several more years of huge deficits. The math will dictate it.
.
There are illegals to get benefits to and we all know the Democrats see our military as a bunch of baby killing thugs.
