A 'License Plate Reader' or LPR, one of two mounted on the trunk of a Metropolotian Police Department in Washington, D.C. in 2011.
ACLU may lose this one. Katx v. United States.
No reasonable expectation of privacy when you are driving around in public...not for the exterior of your vehicle, at least.
