Frustrated by rampant crime and vandalism, the owner of one of Oakland's most popular Uptown district bars is exploring a run for mayor next year.

Just as long as SOMEONE, ANYBODY kicks Jean Quan's butt out of the Mayor's office. Maybe then, Oakland can have law and order restored. Maybe then, people will actually want to visit Oakland's businesses, downtown and waterfront. Maybe then, Oakland will no longer be the laughing stock of the west coast.

I'm sure Don Perata is laughing his azz off as Mayor Quan continues to be a foolish, incompetent and horrifying mayor. It serves Oakland right for its extreme liberal politics and silly method of electing officials.
