I don't know about that. Vermont is prosecuting a landlord this week for renting to a massage parlor that was in truth a prostitution operation. They said he knew, or should have known, what was going on.

They only pushed the law through to get rid of all the shady drug dealers in that god forsaken town. It probly started while the oxy craze was going on then got put on the back burner when they came out with the uncrushable ones. Now that these jungle bunnies are here selling heroin, it finally went through. Funny part is, your rif raf kids got hooked on heroin so now those city monkeys have a permanent connection with your town. You'll never get rid of the mentality some of your kids have, its ingrained in their genetics to be scummy and afraid of work. You guys pride yourselves on having a nice community, but a large portion of the youth are no worse than the people who sell them drugs. Dont blame the supplier, blame your parenting

Crime like this will never go away until there are good jobs in the area. Never had so much of this sort of crime when the economy was strong and there were more living wage jobs.

Keep passing laws, hiring cops, and bogging down government. It raises taxes in an already depressed economy. And it doesn't stop crime. Real smart.

Keep shopping at Walmart and investing in China. That is why manufacturers left or downsized. What else do you expect? That saving a few bucks will strengthen the economy? HAHAHA

Just try THINKING about the big picture. Then act accordingly. Stupid is as stupid does, and entire communites count with that too. Support local business. Boycott anti-American companies and retailers like Walmart and GM, who screw over America and invest in China all for increasing profits.

It's pointless law. All it will do is bog down the system and increase taxes. It will not stop anything because the root of the problem is lack of living wage jobs in the area. Most people don't think very much about those things but cause and effect holds true for economies just like anything else. If you had skin cancer would you just keep putting band-aids on it? Of course not. You to strengthen your immunity (economy) while getting rid of the cancer (crime).

If you wanted to get rid of a tree would you only cut away what you can see? No, you must dig out the root. There is more at work that just what your limited senses can pick up. It's not as simple as your thinking.

There. I just educated you and expanded your mind 23%, free of charge. Go suck down a beer and digest the concept.

I can't believe that landlords do not already have the right to evict people convicted of committing crimes on their properties.

Until they have proof that illegal activities are occurring, they cannot evict. And if they had that evidence they could arrest anyhow so what's the point?

this law is for anyone who has the police to there residence for ny reason!! even if they are the victim..take domestic abuse,if a woman is being abused,now..she will be afraid to call the cops in fear that 3 strikes and shes out!! this law does not protect the innocent and it sure as hell doesnt eliminate the the problems were dealing with, homelessness is also gonna be a problem, and a majority of people are getting some sort of help from the government,so if they have no home(address) they get no help, which means crime rate is gonna skyrocket so people can survive, great idea massena, more laws like this need to be passed!!
